A Day Off

"No School today, lucky bastard!" I heard my mom yell from her bedroom into mine. No school!? Did I hear that right?

"What?! Yes!!!" I yelled, or so I thought I yelled, I fell right back asleep, with a huge smile on my face. I wasn't going to wake up earlier than I should have to.

I opened my eyes, and smiled, making my small dimple show, NO SCHOOL! I shot out of bed and ran into the bathroom to brush my teeth. I ran right back into my bedroom and jumped onto my bed. I  texted Penelope and Lucas. We have a group chat with each other. 

No School! I'm happy, but do you guys know why?

P; Something about gases leaking. 

L; ugh, yesss

Me; haha, see you guys tomorrow! 

I turned my phone off and went right onto my laptop, opening Netflix. I was currently re-watching The Vampire Diaries. That show is my absolute drug! I've been way to obsessed with it. I was in the middle of watching an episode of the show when I heard my phone vibrate. I looked over at it to see it was from Collin. I smiled a big one knowing he was talking to me, and he was ok. 

I heard you have a day off. Lucky fucks!

HAHA! Wait how do you know what school I go to?

You opened up quite a bit to me that one day, cutie. 

Cutie? He thinks I'm cute!? My cheeks heated up at the thought of him thinking I am cute.

My phone then began to ring, but it wasn't a call, no. It was a face time. I was a wreck, but I was way to happy to think about how I looked right now. I quickly slid the answer button, and looked for him in the screen. It was black before a very attractive face showed up on my screen for the second time. His hair was messy, like it was the last time, and he was wearing a black shirt this time, with a silver doggy tag necklace, I noticed he wore the same one last time I saw him. 

"Hey," I said shyly.

"Hello!" he said, happily. 

"Don't you have school?" I asked. 

"Yup, but I'm not going. I am going to just talk to you all day, so stop what you're doing, and speak to me." he said making me laugh. 

"Hahaha, ok." I said, turning off Netflix, sadly, but it's ok, I'll watch later. 

"Where do you live?" he asked suddenly, for some reason I wanted to open up to him, and tell him anything he wanted to know. So I told him, "New York, you know that though." 

"Yeah, but what part?" he asked, "Why, you want to stalk me?" I asked, giggling after. 

"Ha, no, I'm coming there in a few days to see my grandpa, and I wanted to know of you were close to where he lives." he said, shocking me. 

"You're coming to New York?! That's awesome! Where are you staying?!" I asked, excited, mayybe we could meet! 

"Queens." He said shortly. Oh my gosh. I LIVE IN QUEENS. 

"OH MY GOD!" I almost screamed, "I live in Queens! Sorry for screaming but, this is exciting!"

"Why is it exciting?" he asked, does this kid not have emotion?

"Um, i don't know." I said forgetting about me being excited. He obviously doesn't care as much as I do. He doesn't even like me like I slightly like him.
