2. Mizuki's Letter

Now it was winter and snowflakes began to fall slowly to the ground. A cold breeze blew across the quiet shrine.

Everything was silent and nobody seemed to pray in the late afternoon, because of the cold. A few days had passed since a great demon attacked the shrine - Nanami and Tomoe got into a fight, ending with a confession and a new couple. They seem to get along well...surprisingly...

Now the winter vacation was coming up and with that new things too.

Author's POV:

"Tomoe, look we received a letter from Mizuki!", a smiling Nanami called out to her fox boyfriend. "What? That snake send a letter to us? What does he want anyway?!", Tomoe snarled. "Oh come on, there might be something good in it."
With that Nanami opened the letter and began to read out loud...

"Hello my lovely Nanami and cruel Fox,"

Visiting my old masters shrine brought good memories back, that's why I chose to stay here a while longer and finish some casual chores. I just have the feeling I should live here for a bit and take care about stuffs. Also, it's nice to eat normal food again! =P

Oh well, Nanami I miss you; it is kind'a boring without you.(T_T)
But great without the Tomoe-Fox.

Nanami, stay healthy, it's getting quite cold.

P.S.: Tomoe don't you even dare to make my lady and mistress cry, you hear that?! Or else...

"That's it.", she said. "That snake, how dare he call me that?!", Tomoe began to growl, ready to fight Mizuki when he would be there. But a few seconds later his mood lightened up and his lips curved upwards in a sly grin. He snaked his arms around Nanami's waist and began to smirk. "W-wha...? T-Tom-...?", Nanami began to studder confused. Now Tomoe was staring into her brown eyes with passion.

'Seeing Tomoe, so close before me. It makes my heart beat so fast.' Nanami thought and her cheeks started to become hot and feeled her blood rushing into them. She was starting to blush, and tried to avoid his gaze by turning her head to the side, but she failed... Before the land god could even move, she found Tomoe's lips pressed on her's. It was so intense and first she was holding back, but then she finally gave in. The two kissed each other now more passionately, holding each other in their arms, like they don't want to let go anymore.

As they broke apart from the long kiss, the two stared into each others eye that everyone could see, that these two are damnly in love.

"Tomoe? Y-you know?...I... r-really...love...you.", Nanami studdered and murmured the last words; but for Tomoe it was no problem to hear. He smiled widely and happy.

"I love you too, my little Nanami.", Tomoe responded in a caring tone and looked away for Nanami not to see his blush.

Nanami was taken aback and her eyes widen. She turned even more red. After that she squeezed Tomoe very hard and because of happiness. She loved her boyfriend Tomoe so much that no one could even imagine.

"Oh Tomoe, I am so happy, you can't imagine how much that means to me.", she said tears welling up in her eyes. But she could not hold them back and they started streaming down along her rosy cheeks. "Oh Nanami, don't cry. I like it more when you smile.", Tomoe said wiping her tears away with his thumb. Watching her in adoration.

Then suddenly Nanami gave him a peck on the lips and showed him her all familiar smile and asked: "So what are we gonna' do for the rest of the day?"

"Lets see. Maybe we should do this..."
