Day Six [pt 2]

WRONG NUMBER: NALU

"Finally, you're here." Lucy said as she opened the door for the salmon-haired guy in front of her. "You said to check my door in seven minutes. I've been waiting for hours."

"I was just four minutes late. Have some patience, woman." He said with a face that looks annoyed and came in.

Lucy laughed. "My room's upstairs. Go on. Mom won't care if I have friends here."

"Oh, good."

Both of them walked to Lucy's room and sat on the bed awkwardly. They didn't know what to do.

"So.. what now?"

"Maybe kiss?"

"Hell no."

"Stop lying. I know you want to." He winked.

"If there's something I really loathe, it's you."

Natsu chuckled. "Okay, I get it, you hate me."

"Finally. I've been trying to tell you that since I met you."

"Um, no, you didn't."

"Yes I did."

Silence.

"What's the point of coming over to your house if we're not gonna do anything, anyway?"

"I didn't force you to come."

"...damn, you can make a guy go silent with just a sentence."

"That's how special I am." She winked.

"You? Special? Give me a break."

"Can you just shut up and agree with me for once?"

"Fine, fine."

"But seriously though. What are we gonna do?"

"Stare at the universe and ask why was the world created?"

"Are you a nerd?"

"Me? Of course not! I'm too cool for that."

"But our section is for smart kids only."

"I may be a nerd sometimes."

"Yeah, right."

"Don't tell anyone about that."

"Why? Smart guys usually get more girls."

"Just... don't."

"With that attitude, you'll never get a girlfriend."

Lucy felt like she said something wrong because Natsu didn't say anything after what she said. She decided not to ask about it and both of them were silent for a few minutes.

"Lucy..."

"Yeah?"

"What kind of guy do you like?"

"Why do you ask?"

"Just answer the question."

"Well... I like guys who care for us girls. I like guys who are smart. I like guys who are kind. I like guys who are independent. I like guys who don't take girls for granted, and.." her voice became like a whisper that Natsu couldn't hear it. "I like guys like you."

"What was the last one?"

"Nothing, it's nothing. Do you want some snacks?"

"Um, sure."

As Lucy went outside the room, a smile appeared on Natsu's lips as he said, "I like you too, Lucy."
