You stood in the kitchen preparing the dinner for you and your family when you felt a pair of arms hug you from behind. You immediately knew that is was your husband of twelve years Aaron Gordon.
"Hello beautiful" he mumbled against your skin. You turned your head to the side giving him a quick peck on the lips.
"Ew Tiffany, mommy is kissing daddy again!" Your second eldest child Ava squealed. Tiffany, your eldest child, entered the kitchen and just rolled her eyes like the sassy teenager she was becoming at the tender age of thirteen. You and Gordon just simply laughed.
You placed the dinner on the table while Aaron got your youngest child Jack from his crib. Once everyone was seated around the wooden dinning table, you began to eat the dinner that you had made.
Suddenly Tiffany started asking you about how you met Aaron and about your marriage. "Tiffany why are you asking us about all this" you giggled.
"Well most of my friends mom and dads are not together. I just wanted to make sure that you two will stay together." She responded.
You and Aaron just looked at each other, wondering on what to say next. You didn't know how to respond to the innocent child.
"Well my dear," Aaron started to respond to your daughter's statement "Me and your mammy are deeply in love. I wouldn't want to walk this earth without her by my side. She means a lot to me and I know I mean a lot to her as well. Some parents or couples don't feel the way I feel towards your mother, so unfortunately they separate so that they have the chance to find the love that me and your mother share. I reassure yoi that your mammy and I will never leave eachother. Okay petal?"
"Okay" she cheesed before she continued to eat her dinner. You looked at Aaron grabbed his hand intertwining your fingers with him. He sent you a soft smile and you returned the favour.
"Do you love daddy to the moon and back?" Asked Ava suddenly interested in the conversation that the three of you had moments prior.
"Of course I do sweetheart." You smiled before kissing your husband cheek. There no denying your love for one another. You glanced at your husband, a loving father and in general a kind person before finishing your dinner.
Oh, how lucky was I to have this wonderful man in my life.
