My wings spread as towers
That are held down by the rain
As it rust and turns them away
Which makes me a flightless bird
Who lives amongst the senseless
That forever flap their arms
Running head first into the reality
Never knowing a single thing
Yet I stare off into the sky
Breathing in familiar beauty
Hoping one day I can return to it
