I speak not to the shadows
Something that is but a shade
It once was a brimming light
Now all I see is it fading
And I cannot remember it
Every now and then I see it
A glimmer of what it is
Sometimes who it once was
But I can no longer grasp them
Or find where they belong
And so my mind forgets them
As they have forgotten me
