The last text I sent to Jason said 'hey what's up?'
Jason: Nothing I'm bored in class.
Jason: You going to Aaron's party?Me: Yeah Heather wants to go but I'm not sure, she won't take no for an answer.
Jason: You should go, it's gonna be so much fun.
Me: Can I ask you a question?
Jason: Sure what's up?
Me: How did you get my number and why did you decide to text me?
Jason: Like I said I saw you online and you have your number listed so I decided to text you. I hope it's not a problem. Besides, I always thought you were kinda cute.
Jason thinks I'm cute? I'm not that naive to fall for his tricks. But I still manage to slightly smile and blush.
Me: No it's not a problem. So what's new?
Jason: Nothing, so do you want a ride to Aaron's Friday?
Me: Umm.. I drive and I have to pick up Heather but thanks anyways.
Jason: Sure. Do you want to grab a bite to eat later?
Me: Later tonight?
Jason: Yeah in about an hour or so.
Me: Yeah okay. See you than.
Jason: Okay.
I had already finished my fruit and was still a little bit hungry and my parents still weren't home. But I also wondered why Jason had asked me to go eat. It was all random and I wasn't going to question a hot guy wanting to take me out for dinner.
I grab a red low cut blouse, and a white pair of skinny jeans with red converse. You can never go wrong with matching shoes and shirts. I do my eyebrows, but on some liquid eyeliner, and regular eye liner on bottom. Then eyeshadow and concealer and finish off with bronzer. I have to admit I look good.
I hear a knock at the door and it feels like my heart is going to fall out of my butt. Now my nerves are kicking in and I know my face is as red as a tomato.
I open the door and see my parents standing there."Hey pumpkin," my dad says "sorry we were out late. Where are you going all dressed up?" As him and my mom walk past me, my mom gives me a kiss on my cheek.
"I'm going to go eat with a friend," I said and I know my cheeks are burning up.
"Okay honey were gonna go get cleaned up and ready for bed, don't be out too late." My mom says and her and my dad walk to their bedroom. I guess they didn't notice me blushing.
*bing*
Jason: I'll be there in about 5 minutes
Me: Okay see you soon. How does he know where I live? I thought to myself but brushed it off since I didn't want to grill him on our first... Hangout?
A few minutes pass and I hear the door bell ring. Once again my stomach drops and my cheeks flare up. I breathe in and out slowly trying to calm my heart beating fast, it doesn't work.
I open the door and I see Jason Crowley. He's about 6'3 with beautiful emerald green eyes, that would make you pounce on him if he made eye contact like he is now. He has sandy blonde hair that's always perfectly combed. He has perfect straight white teeth that goes with his stunning smile.
I instantly melt.
"Hey" Jason says nervously.
"Hi" I shyly say, sounding like a middle school girl who's never seen a cute guy before in my life.
He gives me a hug and I smell his cologne. He smells so wonderful I could just eat him up right there. Control yourself Andrea, I tell myself.
The hug ends quickly and my stomach is in knots.
"So I'm taking you to Marcelo's is that okay?" Jason asks as he opens the door to his 1967 black Chevy Impala.
"Marcelo's is my favorite!" I say with enthusiasm.
Jason laughs and gets in the car. The drive isn't too far from my house, it's about 10 minutes away, we talk about school and what we're going to do once we graduate. Jason wants to go to LSU and I want to go to UTA. He wants to study engineering and I want to be a physical therapist. Who would have though Jason was so smart.
As we pull into Marcelo's I see it's packed. People from school might be here and I haven't told Jason I like to keep my private life... Well private. God forbid anyone sees me with Jason it'll be all over Facebook and people are assuming we're going out.
"Are you okay?" Jason asks me as he finds a parking spot. He must have noticed me getting antsy.
"Yeah fine, I just hope we don't see anyone from school."
"Why? Are you ashamed to be seen with me?" He asks staring at me.
"What no?" I giggle.
He smiled at me and says "Good, let's go eat."
