Lies and a Goodbye - Chapter 2

Chapter 2! Enjoyxx

The cloudy, cold day seemed to fit the day. I had another fight with my mate but this was the worst fight we ever had. I told Jake that Victoria had a mate because it was true. I found out a few days ago when I was hunting. 

***Flashback****

I approached my prey slowly and got ready to sink my teeth in its flesh when I noticed I wasn't alone. I smelled two other wolves. I froze immediately when i realized whose scent it belonged to. Victoria. That sneaky bitch. Although, the other wolf was unfamiliar which made my wolf and I hesitant to approach them. I decided to see who Victoria was with and quietly hid behind the tree.  I heard Victoria yelling at the male she was with. 

"Ugh! Just give me a few weeks!! I promise that the stupid Alpha will fall for me and he'll make me his Luna. Then, when the time is ready we can rule this pack together. I love you so much! I can't stand the Alpha and his little excuse of a mate."

My wolf was beyond mad. She did not like that bitch insulting my mate and I. I tried to calm my wolf down, but I was also furious. Who was this guy? and How did Victoria know him? My questions were answered when the male spoke.

"Lets hope this plan of yours works out. I want to mark you and I'll give you a few weeks or I'll kill this fucking Alpha."

My heart started racing and I started to panic. Victoria's mate is alive and they want to kill my mate and take over the pack. I quickly ran as fast as I could and I knew I had to tell Jake about this. I just hoped that he believed me. 

~ End of Flashback ~

Well, he didn't believe me. He thought I was lying. Jake was so angry with me that he almost shifted into his dark, black wolf. He said the most hurtful words before he left. 

"I don't understand why fate chose you as my mate." 

I felt tears threatening to spill over but I knew that I had enough. I wouldn't make my wolf and I suffer anymore. I would leave today and never return. I didn't want to leave my pack behind, but this pain was too much. I quickly packed my things in a bag and grabbed a pen and paper and started writing.

Jakes POV ~

I ran back home in wolf form. I regretted saying all those rude things to my mate. I fucking told her I didn't even want her! When I saw her beautiful brown eyes shinning with unshed tears and pain I knew I had to get out of there. I couldn't stand the look she gave me. I wouldn't have said those things if she didn't say that Victoria was just using me so her and her mate can take over the pack. Victoria's mate was dead. I know that Ally doesn't like Victoria, but what she told me was ridiculous and childish.

I quickly shifted and put my clothes on. I approached the house and hoped that she wasn't as mad as before. I opened the door and saw that all lights were off. Hmm.. I wonder if she was sleeping. Her scent was everywhere but it was faint. I went upstairs and opened the door to our bedroom and my mate wasn't there. My wolf kept saying "find mate! find mate!" which I really didn't understand.

I saw a white piece of paper on the bed and i slowly read the words that were written by my beautiful mate.

' Jake,

I have left and I will never return. Your words and actions today have shown me that you do not love me anymore. You care more about Victoria than your own mate. I love you so much, but I'm realizing that I will never be happy with you when you have Victoria. You can now be happy with that bitch. I wasn't lying about Victoria and her mate. I would never lie to you. Goodbye Jake. Take care of the pack.

I felt tears streaming down my face, but wiped them off my face. Alpha's do not show weakness I remembered my Dad telling me. A feeling of determination consumed me. I would find my beautiful, loving mate and bring her back where she belongs. I needed to show her how much I actually do love her and that Victoria doesn't mean anything to me. I needed to question Victoria first to make sure this was true and if this was, then she better expect to suffer.
