Chapter 3: Gone

Xavier Pov:

10 minutes passed by and I'm still waiting by the cashier. It's taking a while... I quickly took Axels dress that I have paid, and walked back to the dressing room. I knocked on the door and called Axels name out. Nothing. I frowned and pushed the door open, to find nothing but her bag. I picked up her bag and and called out her name.

"AXEL!" Nothing.

I quickly walked around the store calling out her name. She wasn't here. So many thoughts popped through my mind. I brushed them off and ran out the store.

Think Xavier... Where does she liked to shop?

Adidas, American Eagle, Victoria's Secret. Forever 21?

I quickly looked for the stores and went in, I called her name and looked around. Ugh! You dumbass out could've just called her. I took my phone out and marked her phone, it rang for a while leaving me to voice mail. Maybe her phone is in her bag, I quickly searched her bag and found her phone in it. I pulled on my hair in frustration. Where did she go? I searched the mall once more, and ran to my car. Maybe she went home?

-30 mins later-

I parked my car and ran to her house, the lights were on. Someone's home. I pressed on the doorbell. Axels mother opened.

"Xavier! Good to see you! Isn't Axel supposed to be hanging out with you today?"

"Yes, yes she is. We were at the mall and she saw a dress and she wanted the dress and I went to pay for it but then I don't know... She..." I felt my voice crack " she disappeared." The smile on her mothers face vanished.

"W-what do you mean she disappeared?" She started to breath hard.

"Please calm down... I don't know, I found her bag and she wasn't there... I-I looked around and I couldn't  find her, I looked everywhere." I felt my eyes water.

She stood there taking everything in and breathed out a 'no'. "No." She looked up at me. "No, no, no!" She started screaming. " No! My daughter can't be lost, no! Oh god please no!" I pulled her into a hug and she stared to sob uncontrollably, I stood there holding her while salty tears dripping down my face.

I pulled away, "Whatever it takes... I promise, I'll find her." I need to find her. She's my princess. I can't lose my princess. I can't.

"The police, we can report her disappearance!" She blurted out.

We quickly walked to my car and we drove to the police station.

We quickly walked in the police station and Axels mom ran to the counter. "Please, my daughter is missing. You have to help me find her! Please." She cried out. It hurted me to see her like that. A detective came up to us and brought us to his office.

"Hello, my name is Detective Simmers. What seems to be the problem?" He said as he sat down.

"My girlfriend, she gone." I spoke out.

"I see. When was the last time you saw her?" He leaned forward.

"Ugh, today in the morning. We were shopping and I went to pay for her dress and when I came back she was gone, I looked everywhere. There was no sign of her." I spoke, it hurts me remembering what happened.

He leaned back and shook his head. " I'm sorry, but we can't take the case."

"What!?" Axels mom yelled out and stood up.

" We can't. The Person has to be gone for at least a 48 hours to report her missing. Who knows, what if she just went with someone, a friend? And forgot to tell you guys?"

Is he serious? I tried to calm my anger. But Axels mom couldn't.

"48 HOURS?! 48 hours?? You expect me to stay at home calmed down, knowing my daughter could be in big danger, and wait 48 hours?!"

"Ma'am please calm down."

"Calm down?!" She laughed coldly. " Don't fucking tell me to calm down. My daughters gone... And you want me to wait 48 hours?!" She started to break down. I quickly stood up and wrapped my arms around her and let her sob. "Shh... We'll find her." I'll do whatever it takes to find her. That's a promise.
