Chapter 2: The party

~Charlottes POV~

That morning at breakfast I could not stop staring at Jace, he was actually the most gorgeous man I have ever seen.

I got up from my chair to grab some jelly for my bread, all the sudden I felt these muscular hands grab onto both of my hips. I start to get butter flies & and I let out a tiny squeal hoping no one heard me. I wondering who it was and  as I turned around, it was him, of course I was so happy but I hardly showed it. I turned my head around & suddenly I am about one inch away from his face. He stared into my eyes giving me that annoying but adorable smirk of his.

"Sorry love just trying to squeeze by, i'm thirsty" he winks, and I feel his entire body brush against me as he walks away. This left me with about 50 shades of red all over my face. I kind of looked like a tomato, a very unattractive tomato.

Not gonna lie, that was, intense, I mean probably not for him but it was for me.

I loose my train of thought when Sophia quickly says,

"so we going to the freshman initiation party in the corn maze tonight?"

of course me being me I had no idea what she was talking about.

"uhm Soph, what are you talking about.?" I here a fork drop and a cabinet shut right after I said that. In that moment I was thinking 'what the hell did i do wrong' but the other part of me was saying what did I just do.

"Char, please tell me you knew about this and that your going." Sophia gives me a death stare till i finally answer her.

"I mean, I guess i'll go"

I hear a bunch of cheers and they continue talking about how lit the party will be and how drunk were gonna get. Alison starts explaining what the party is gonna be like and my eyes widen.

" Okay so basically its a maze, you have to go through the corn maze to get to the party and if u don't get to the party because you got lost, well your basically nothing at this school and your dis-invited to every other party." I stare at Alison like a deer on headlights.

"damn Al, that's really harsh." she nods then shrugs her shoulders because its obvious she doesn't care.

************************

(later that day) ~Charlottes POV~

"Yo Char you ready" I could hear Alison scream from outside as I ran down stairs with my hair down in a strapless crop top and high wasted booty shorts. I reached the door before walking outside and I hear a loud scream

"WOOOOOO DAMN"

I turn around and its all the boys staring at my ass, I laugh as I give them each death stares then turn around and walk outside leaving the door open for the boys to walk out and get in the car so we could leave.

"You ready bitches!!!!" Sophia was way to hype for this party and apparently so was Evan because he was holding about 3 cases of beer and made Adam hold his bottle of vodka.

We arrive at the corn maze and I see a bunch of  light streaming in the air all the way at the end of the maze.
"What are we waiting for let concurs this bitch ass excuse of a maze."
We all laugh at Adams comment and head into the maze. Of course, me being the dumb ass I am, I drop my phone.

I bend down to pick up my phone and when I look back up I couldn't find anyone, they all left me. I'm thinking to myself 'shit I can't be the only one who doesn't go to parties' .

As I'm walking around I end up in a circle that's surrounded by tall corn and I can't seem to find where I entered the circle from.
"Shit. HELLO!!"
I'm still screaming hoping someone can hear me and all the sudden I hear the corn start to rustle.
"Hello, who's there"
There's a silence and someone walks into the circle. It's dark and hard to see who it is.
"Your night in shining armor cupcake."
You can tell there's a smirk arising on his face. I'm thinking to myself, nickname? Smirk?
"Jace?"
It's him. He starts to walk out of the shadows and towards the center on the circle where the light is. Wow he looks good in this lighting.
"You look lost doll face" I actually see his smirk this time
"No shit Sherlock you figure that out all by yourself?"
He bites his lip and stares at my eyes
"Damn fiesty now are we."
I laugh and so does he.
"Maybe we should find our way to the party before were 'banished' as Alison said"
I quickly laugh after I said that. He holds out his hand. Before I can grab his hand, my foot hit a rock, stupid! Stupid! Stupid! And I go falling forward. Before I could hit the ground I felt those same strong hands that held My waste this morning catch me. These hands made me feel amazing when they grabbed my hips.
"Oh shit I'm so sor-"
"Shh"
Oh shit
He did not just shh me..
"Huh?"
"Your fine Char just s little clumsy that's all" he laughs and lifts me back onto both feet. I feel heat on my neck and look up not realizing how close I was to him.
"I-I uh" I can't get the words out. He's so perfect.
"Charlotte, your really beautiful you know that right. Like Fucking hot ashell."
WHAT IS HAPPENING RIGHT NOW?!
I didn't know what to say.
"Oh well thank you that's so.. Nice?"
I feel his fingers start to stroke through my hair and his hands slowly drift down to my hips and he pulls me close and begins to lean in.
"Jace-"
"What, cmon char, don't fight it."
I felt these warm, soft lips begin to touch mine.
His kisses were heaven and his touch was amazing. His hands trailed down to my butt as his lips remained in the same spot. My hands are running through his hair as he begins to speak. "Charlotte, Charlotte, CHARLOTTE!!"

And I woke up...
It was all a dream. What the hell...
It felt so real I'm actually so embarrassed.  But wait, no one knows what I was dreaming. And they don't have to know.

"Charlotte why the hell aren't u ready the party is in an hour!" Alison just stared at me expecting me to jump right off the coach. I can't believe I fell asleep on the couch.
Well, time to be disappointed at this party..
