Chatper 4: An old friend

~CHARLOTTES POV~

It's beating faster, every second he gets closer to me. My heart, it's going to fast for me to keep up. But, then when he says those words to me, my heart drops. It drops fast and hard, hard enough that I can actually feel the pain in my chest.
My ex boyfriend of two years, Damon he's got these gorgeous blue eyes and dazzling black flowing hair. His eyes, they were like the clearest but bluest part of the ocean. They were what really got me hooked onto him. We had broken up because of college. Who knew we would end up going to the same one. I surely didn't, but seeing him, i don't know. It's different.
But, Jace, I don't wanna just give up on him.
"Charlotte, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have come out and just said that, but listen, I never stopped loving you and before you can reject me I just want you to think about us."
And poof
He just left
WHAT THE HELL
I'm absolutely so confused right now.
He cannot just make me fall in love with him all over again, right?
I walked back over towards Jace with wide eyes and a blank face. He just had his jaw dropped and stared at me while I walked up to him.
"Who, the hell, was that. It was obvious you knew each other"
I smiled and shrugged and started to walk away when all the sudden a strong tug forced me backwards and as I turned I ended up right in front of Jaces face.
"Can u stop please, he's just..
An old friend"
My face turns red and I bite my lip and cover my face with both of my hands.
"Well obviously you know him very well"
I focused back on Jace as he waited for me to say something.
"Fine, he was my ex"
He started laughing.
"What's so funny."
I just stared at him awkwardly.
"How long have u two dated."
He seemed serious now.
"Uh, two years"
He burst out into laughter and everyone walked up behind me and then Adam screams
"Bro, what ever it is its probably not that fucking funny"
I chuckled and then Jace speaks finally after he was obnoxiously laughing like a lunatic.
"It's just, you were dating for two years, and your a virgin."
My smile faded into a frown.
"What's wrong with not giving away my virginity."
He takes a deep breathe and pulls his hands onto my shoulders. He finally gets the words out of his mouth.
"It's just, pathetic, and unattractive"
My jaw dropped. I watched him just walk away . I'm not surprised he would shame me like this, but at a party, in front of EVERYONE.
Moments later I get ahold of the vodka shots.
~7 shots later~
"Hey, char, I think 7 is enough. We should really call you a cab."
It was sweet she was concerned but I was fine, wasn't bad I just, couldn't see to well, or walk in a straight line, of even stand, but other than that I'm fine!
~~~10 minutes later~~~
I was knocked out cold in the cab all the way home.

~~ JACES POV~~
I was on the couch thinking about why I said those things to Charlotte, she's really a sweet girl but I could never actually like her.
I just don't understand why seeing how happy she got when she was with that guy made me really angry.
About 10 minutes after Charlotte got home I had gotten home myself. I went up to charlottes room to check how she was doing. When I reached her door I quickly knocked on the door.
"Hey char can I come in?"
I waited for an answer till finally I heard her cute voice.
"Yeah Jace come on in."
I opened the door on to find her in her bra and underwear.
"Damn. I mean, uh- maybe you should um- maybe you should get some clothes on."
Her body was so damn sexy but she was still drunk ashell so there's nothing really I can do.
"Hey Jace" she bites her lips and walks towards me.
She finally gets close enough to me where she lifts her left leg across my right hip and closes the door with her foot. She rubs her leg against me before putting it down on the ground and pushing me up against the wall with her body pressed up against me.
"Now Jace, why would I want to put clothes on, it's more fun when you have less clothing on."
She bites her lip and starts sliding her hands down from my chest all the way to the zipper of my pants. She begins to unzip my pants and in my head I'm thinking to my self this is really wrong of me considering she probably has no clue what she's doing right now.
"Char- what are you doing. Your to drunk and probably don't even know what your doing."
She stared up at me then put her finger up to her mouth "shhhh"
She grabs me through my underwear and I quickly grab her hand.
"Charlotte. I'm not going to sit her why you try and do stuff with me and you don't even know your doing it. It's wrong. And your probably gonna regret it when your sober."
She gave me a death glare.
"Well fine then you no fun. I knew you didn't want me."
I felt bad after she said because honestly I didn't know what I wanted.
"Just get in your bed and sleep char."
She ran over to her bed and hopped in it as I zipped my pants and left the room.

~the next morning~
~~CHARLOTTES POV~~
My head was pounding as I sat next to the toilet. Maybe drinking last night wasn't such a good idea. I really don't remember half the night after my fifth drink. How the hell did I even get home?
Mmmmm something smells good.
I race down stairs to find Sophia making chocolate chip pancakes, my favorite. But I still felt sick so I might just have some juice. Everyone was helping in the kitchen when I walked down the stairs.
"Good morning everyone."
Everyone laughed at me.
"What. Did I do something last night?"
Jace got quiet but everyone else kept laughing I glared at him as Alison spoke.
"You look like hell."
I turned my glare towards her and walked towards the fridge.
The only problem was when I walked passed Jace he got all tense and awkward, I knew something was wrong.
~10 minutes later~
After I was done in the kitchen I watched as Jace went upstairs and I followed after him.
"Hey Jace, did I do something last night to make you uncomfortable around me or something?"
I could here him gulp and shake as he opened him mouth.
"Well uh- well- Uhm something uh maybe have happened. But it's
Okay because it happened but didn't happen at the same time if you know what I mean."
I looked at him confused
"No, no I don't know what you mean, care to help me out here and tell me?"
I could see the sweat building on his face.
He said "well you tried to suck my dick but it's okay because I didn't let you so you actually didn't suck my dick."
My eyes widened
"How do I know I didn't suck your dick."
He gave me a stern look and so I believed him.
He smirked and said "I mean if you did at least you'd be past first base by now" he winks and I give him a look of disgust.
"Are you serious. You do something good by not letting me do what I almost did and then 2 seconds later your an asshole. I don't get it"
He looks back then continues to walk to him room.
"Hey I'm taking to you."
I put my foot in-between the door and the wall so he couldn't shut the door.
"Jesus would you stop your so annoying, just leave me alone"
I get heated quickly after he says this.
"Wow, okay, I can't believe I even thought for a second you were a descent guy because you actually a shallow low life who only cares for himself."
He looks me straight in the eyes and begins to walk towards me. I felt him soft lips touch mine. I was quick to push him off me.
"You- you can't do that to me, YOUR CONFUSING ME!"
He crosses his arms.
"What am I confusing you about doll face"
He smirks then I speak.
"That! Everything! Your an asshole! And then your this sweet guy that I'm attracted to! Then I just get all crazy an-"
He interrupts me and says "well love that's because you are crazy, and you should probably just stay away from me."
Damn.
Harsh.
That actually really hurt me.
He slams the door and I feel a tear escape from my eye as I walk back to my room and lay in my bed. I lay there in shock until I fall asleep.
