Chapter 5: Apologies

~JACES POV~

     I put my hands over my my head and walked towards the wall. I lean forward and placed my hands on the wall. "What have I done. I'm such a dick." My head begins to hurt from how much thinking I'm doing. It's now 2 o'clock in the morning and I still can't get over the fact that I called Charlotte annoying and told her to leave.
She's not annoying, she's, exciting. This wasn't fair to her.
I begin to walk out of my room and towards hers.

~CHARLOTTES POV~

I haven't slept, it's now 2:10 in the morning and I'm still upset over what Jace had done.
      All of the sudden I hear the door open so I quickly shut my eyes so the person would think I was sleeping. I didn't see there face so I didn't know who it was.
I could feel a muscular hand stroke through my hair, then his hand held mine.
"Charlotte, I am so sorry." You could here the crack in his voice and I knew it was Jace. This crack in his voice made me know in an instant that he was gonna cry. But I peeked open my eye, and he wasn't.
"I'm a dick, and even tho you probably can't hear me right now I just wanted you to know that what I did, what I said, you didn't deserve that, you didn't do anything wrong, I fucked with your head, and I took advantage of your, soft lips. That was wrong of me, you probably wouldn't want to kiss a jerk like me, I wouldn't blame you, I'm bad for you. I'm sorry I hurt you."
His hand grip un tightened and I knew he let go. But just before he could leave I sat up on my bed and stopped him.
"Jace"
He turned in surprise.
"Oh, Uhm you, you uh, heard that?"
I got up from my bed and ran towards him.
My hands cupped his face and I placed my lips on his. His hands grip my waste as mine began to wrap around his head and my arms rested on his shoulders. His hands began to go lower till they were gripping my thigh.
As they gripped my thigh he lifted me up and my legs wrapped around his waste.
He kicked the door behind him so it would shut and he started walking towards my bed.
      He plopped me onto the bed and he laid on top  of me.
He started to kiss my neck and was grabbing my breast. His lips found there way back to mine and I flipped him over so I was on top of him.
Now this was just a steamy make out session. I wouldn't want it to turn into anything more. But he was so hot.
I lightly bit his lip in the sexiest way I could.
"Oh Charlotte I love it when you do that."
I looked into his eyes and bit my lip.
     "Listen char, I'd hate for this to go farther than it should even though this is the best hook up I've had in a while. So I'm gonna let you sleep."
He got up from the bed and brushed his hair back.
"Jace, wait, could you, maybe just stay in here tonight."
He smirked and lifted to sheets to my bed I moved to the other side of the bed and placed myself under the covers.
"Thank you.. For being so sweet all the sudden." I smiled at him
"Anytime doll face"  my smile turned into a death stare because he knew I didn't like the nicknames.
All the sudden I felt his fingers interlock with mine and I soon fell asleep.

***the next morning***

The moment I open my eyes I quickly smile because last night was the best night I've had this entire week.
"Good morning doll face"
I smirked and playfully punched him in the chest.
"Ouch, you sure are a feisty one muffin"
I laugh after he says this.
"How does one go from doll face to a muffin? It simply does not make sense"
He looks at me confused.
"You know, maybe I should just make your new nick name smart ass"
I playfully punch him again while laughing but harder then the last time I had hit him.
"Hey hey, cmon smart ass don't mess up the Gorgeous body"
I stare him down.
"I am 2.0 seconds away from kicking your ass"
He raises his hands above his head as he gets out of the bed.
"I surrender sir smart ass"
My jaw drops again as I'm laughing.
I pick up a pillow and throw it at him.
At the same time he's running out of the room to the bathroom like a little girl.
I scream out the door
"That's lady smart ass to you!"
I could hear him laughing in the bathroom. I walked down stairs and everyone stares at me.
"What? Did I do something wrong?"
They all shake there head and start laughing.
"Seriously guys. Did I do something wrong?"
Sophia just looks at me then says
"What the hell was all that about.?"
I look at her confused
"What about?"
She rolls her eyes and slouches
"Really? You don't know what we're talking about?"
I shake my head no and she speaks again.
"Never mind. It's cool. You don't have to tell us YOUR FRIENDS"
I here Adam say under his breathe
"More like friends with benefits."
I get a confused look on my face because I obviously heard him, then it hit me.
I say
"Okay first of all, you can't say anything under your breathe to save your life Adam and second of all me and Jace are not friends with benefits. I don't even know what we are but I'm pretty sure we're just friends."
I could here someone walk down the stairs and it's Jace and I think he heard some of what we were saying because he says
"Who's just friends?"
Everyone looks at each other and there eyes widen and Alison being the pain in the ass she is comments "this should be good" as she rests her chin on her hand.
"Us Jace were just friends right?"
He looks at me confused then talks again.
"Oh, yeah totally, just friends"
I could here some sarcasm which made me happy but then again I didn't want to take this to fast. Or even over assume with THIS even is for that matter. Everyone leaves the breakfast table. Except me and Jace.
"What was last night"
He shrugs.
"Idk doll face. Maybe it was just the heat of the moment."
What heat, what moment. I felt a rush of amazing but like it was all happening so quick.
"Yeah, I guess."
He looks at me concerned.
"That's what you thought it was right.?"
I look at him a and give him a long stare.
"Yeah. Definitely, just the heat of the moment. But anyway, we all have no classes today, what were you planning on doing?"
He looks and smiles
"My sister tori is driving up to visit."
I smile because now I know he cares about family.
"Is she coming here? Because I'd love to meet tori"
He talks again.
"Yeah, you'll love her, she's real sweet, I'm really protective of her, she's like my best friend you know?"
I shake my head no.
"No sorry I have 3 brothers who annoy the shit out of me."
He looks a little gloomy the begins to speak again.
"Well I think your gonna love her."
I really hope I like Jaces sister but most importantly I wish she would like me.

*********2 hours later*********
I walk out of my room hoping I can borrow one of sophias shirts for when I meet Jace sister tori. But when I pass Jace room he was balling his eyes out.
I run into Jaces room and wrap my arms around him as he grabs onto my arms and held me tight.
"Jace, what's wrong, talk to me."
He looks at me, his eyes are red and puffy and his face if filled with tears
"Charlotte, will you please drive me to the hospital."
