Chapter 6: broken strings

~~CHARLOTTS POV~~

"Hey, Jace- jace! I need you to look at me. I will take you to the hospital but I need to know why you have to go to the hospital so I can care for you first and make sure your stable for the drive over to the hospital."
He looks up at me.
He's so pale.
It's like he saw a ghost.
He was just sitting there with his arms wrapped around his legs.
All of the sudden he got up and goes towards the wall.
"AHH NO!"
The way he's screams, the way the veins popped out of his neck makes me even more concerned.
"NO NO NO "
As he screams this he punches the wall several times.
"Woah woah Jace stop! STOP!"
I run in front of his flying fist just to make him stop.
"Charlotte.."
His fist hit the side of my face.
"You needed to stop. It was the only way for you to stop. Let's just go."
I grab him by the wrist and we start running to the car.
I started the car and we drove to the hospital.
Not saying a word in the car. we finally get to the hospital.
Jace runs to the front desk.
"Hi my name is Jace My sister is here she was in a car accident."
My heart dropped, all this time I thought something happened to him but it was actually his sister.
"Name please." The nurse stood there waiting for Jace to answer.
"Tori, Tori Miller."
The nurse flips threw her book.
"Yes she's room C334"
He just starts running.
Before I could chase him the nurse says
"Do you need some ice for that bruise hunny."
I just look at her and shake my head no, then continue running after Jace.
After 5 minutes of looking I found him staring threw the door window crying.
"Jace.."
He looks over at me. His face was red and his eyes were really puffy, tears streaming down his face.
I run over to him and just began to hug him.
"Jace.. I am so sorry." He wraps his arms around me, still Crying. My eyes travel over to the window on the door. It wasn't good, his sister was so busted up.
I actually started to cry.
"Charlotte."
With Our arms still wrapped around each other I answer.
"Hey, it's gonna be okay."
I could hear him let out another cry.
"Charlotte, thank you so much."
I rub his back.
"Hey, Jace. I'm always here for you okay. We're friends, and I promise if you ever need me I will always be here."
He sighs
"Yeah. Friends." He said a and I could tell he was disappointed.
We're just friends right? I mean of course we had one little make out session. But how much could that really mean-
"Are you here for ms. Tori Miller?" We stop hugging and stare at the doctor.
"Yes sir."
The doctor then speaks "okay, well she's awake. And you can now go talk to her. But remember she needs rest so be quick."
Jace walks up to the doctor.
"So she's going to be okay?"
He nods his head yes.
"She'll be fine, she's a little banged up, broken arm and some bruises and an ACl tear but she should be completely healed in about 6-7 months."
Jace starts smiling and runs into the room and sits next to his sister.
I walk in a couple second after he settles himself but before I'm completely in the room the doctor stops me.
"Are you okay miss. That's a pretty bad bruise you have there." I just look at the doctor and shrug. He looks at me wth great concern but then walks off.
I could see the relief in jaces face as he held his sisters hand.
I just stood there in the doorway giving them space to catch up.
~JACES POV~
tori just smiled at me, tears of relief came down my face. I could feel her grip tighten on my hand.
"I don't know what I would have done if I had lost you tor. Your my best friend."
She chuckled but I could tell it hurt her to even move.
"Hey. I want you to get some rest okay, you'll be out of here in less then a month. The doctors will take good care of you."
She smiled again, she then turned her head towards the door way and I saw Charlotte sitting on the floor on her phone in the hallway.
Tori then looked at me as if she was trying to ask me who she was.
"Her, that's Charlotte. She's gorgeous. But you know I have a bad track with women, and I would never want to hurt her. Not only that but she's to good for a guy like me, I would just ruin everything."
She gave me a different look this time kind of like a 'what are you talking about' face.
"She's just, so nice, I'd hate to do anything bad to her, I mean I don't think I would , but I'm so so so wrong for her. That's why me and her are just friends. Maybe if I Change my ways.. I don't know. I guess only time can tell"
Tori smiled at me and slowly lifted up her other hand and stuck up her thumb then that thumbs up soon turned into the OK symbol, and that's when I knew she approved.
"Hey kid, I'll see you tomorrow okay. I love you tor."
I kissed her forehead and smiled at her.

~CHARLOTTES POV~
I noticed that Jace was walking out of the room and he actually looked, kind of happy.
"Well hello mr. Smiley."
I said while standing up from sitting on the floor.
He stood there and laughed and just kept smiling. He then cupped my face and said
"Hey, those dark circles aren't a good look for a beauty like you, let's go home."
As he takes one hand off my face the other stays, on the side of my face where my bruise is. He gives me a concerned look and shakes his head. "D-did I do that."
His head started to look down at the floor because he already knew the answer to that question.
"Char, I am so so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. You have to know that."
I hold onto his hand on my face and grabbed his other hand with mine.
"Hey, all that matter is your sister is okay and so are you."
I smile and He put his arm around me and we started to walk out.
"My dark circles appreciate it by the way" I laughed and as we got the car I pull the keys out from my pocket.
"Ohhh hell no doll face your tired as fuck. I'm driving."
I dropped my jaw and laughed.
"It's gonna cost you." I said
He bit his lip.
"Cost me what princess." He said with a devilish look.
He stares me up and down.
"Tell me, your most embarrassing moment" I say.
He laughed and shook his head no.
"Your funny doll face, now give me the keys."
He reaches for the keys and I put them behind my back. His face than becomes really close to mine.
His lips turned me on, the way they just sat there. And when he bit his lip it killed me. I began to lean in for a kiss. But then-
"I'm wrong."
I opened my eyes and stared at him.
"What."
He put his hands over his head and walked backwards.
"May 2010."
I was really confused at this point so I said
"Jace what are-"
He cut me off.
"Just shush for a second doll face I'm telling you my most embarrassing moment."
I nodded my head yes.
"Okay, anyway may 2010---"
