Caroline slumped into her uncomfortable hospital chair looking and staying awake until Steve would wake up. A baseball capped woman came into her room nudging Caroline with her shoulder, waking her up with a jolt about to attacking when the familiar face was Kiara handing her some coffee.
"You shouldn't be here. Someone could see you." Caroline got up from her chair to move around and stretch from her uncomfortable position.
"Isn't this the baseball cap you use to be undercover?" Kiara asked receiving a glare from Caroline. "I just wanted to make sure that you weren't alone."
"I haven't been completely alone," Caroline said with Sam almost immediately coming back into the room.
"Am I interrupting something?" Sam asked before proceeding in as Caroline nodded her head. "Kiara, this is Sam. Sam, this is my sister Kiara." The two exchanged a handshake, Kiara gripping tightly before easing out and registering that he wasn't a threat.
"Well you're mother must been a beauty to have two lovely daughters." Sam winked at the girls who stood side by side, holding back a laugh and Kiara trying to hold back a blush.
"You look like you haven't slept in weeks." Sam pointed out to Caroline who was visually a little worn out by her walk and cadence.
"Ever since I found out about everything, I wanted to be the first one he saw when he wakes." Caroline said rubbing her eyes and trying to stay awake.
"You should get some sleep, I'll wake you when Steve wakes up,"
Caroline smiled at him before responding," Being a vampire comes with its perks. I'm dead, I don't need sleep. I need Steve to wake up."
"You should lie down at least. Do you want some coffee?" Sam asked before Caroline shook the coffee she had in her hands, but still frequented to leave.
Caroline looked at Steve, examining his cuts and bruises. Then she looked at her hand which was holding onto Steve's, it was only after a moment that his fingers clutched hers which made her look up at him.
His eyes opened at the beauty before him, "Looks like I should change your name to Sleeping Beauty."
Steve rolled his eyes at her before scooting over a bit and wincing at his bullet wounds, "Come here."
Caroline got into the bed, avoiding tripping over any wires and touching Steve, since she didn't completely know where his wounds were.
"Our lives are weird," Caroline looked at him who smiled back at him.
Kiara loomed awkwardly and going to the foot of his hospital bed, until he looked up at her and gave her a slight nod.
"I guess I owe you a thank you, Spangles. You know for saving my life and keeping my sister safe." Kiara chocked on the final words, gaining a smile at the end.
"Your welcome but a thank you on my part is also in order. Thank you for coming back to her. I don't know if you could tell from all the years but she really did miss you, even if she hid it deep down."

"So, you've experienced this sort of things before?" Fury wearing sunglasses and hoodie, Fury meets Steve, Caroline, Kiara, and Sam at a cemetery at his own grave
"You get used to it." Steve says with a smile.
"We've been data-mining HYDRA's files. Looks Like a lot of rats didn't go down with the ship. I'm heading to Europe tonight, wanted to ask if you'd come."
Steve paused and looked up form the ground, "There's something I gotta do first."
"How about you, Wilson? I could use a man with your abilities." Fury turned to Sam.
"I'm more of a soldier than a spy."
Fury turned cautiously over to the Kingsley siblings before focusing on the younger one of them. "I would never imagine a day where I'd see your sister smiling at having her family again. I guess that even asking you would be a no."
Kiara looked up to her sister before turning back to Fury, "I'm done being a weapon. But I came home and I'll stay until the world needs saving."
"Alright then." Fury sticks his hand out and shakes Sam's before moving onto Steve and Caroline, "Anybody asks for me, tell them they can find me right here." Fury looks to his gravestone and walks away, just then Natasha joins Steve and Sam.
"You should be honored, that's about as close as he gets to saying thank you." Caroline turns to her best friend and gives her a hug.
"Not going with him?" Steve asked
"No." Natasha said with a soft laugh as she shook her head.
"Not staying here?" Caroline said with a hint of sadness in her voice.
"I blew all my covers, I gotta go figure out a new one." Natasha said with a sad smile.
"That might take a while." Kiara said.
"I'm counting on it. That thing you asked for, I called in a few favors from Kiev." Natasha hands Steve a file, but Caroline is puzzled when she receives not only one but two.
"I don't understand, what is this Natasha?" Caroline asked, looking down at the file.
"Originally, it was just to get one file but I stumbled across this one. It's said to contain the cure to vampirism. There are scientists who created a serum to reverse it, what they believe. If I were you I'd track it down. It's your one shot at being human again. And the other one well.. it's about Kiara. Thought it might come in handy or to make sure it didn't fall into the wrong hands." Natasha hugs Caroline before saying he goodbyes to Steve and Sam.
"Be careful, Steve. You two might not want to pull on that thread."
She flipped through the files and stumbled upon her joining the Avengers, her humanity off, and a photo of her and Steve.
"Are you going after it?" Steve asked peering over Caroline's shoulder.
"It beats the hell out of never trying." Caroline shut the folder as Steve opened his. "But this other file is for Kiara." Caroline hands the other file she received to her sister, who held it in her hands not wanting to open up the door to the past. "She'll let me see that file when she wants to."
"We've been inseparable since childhood. And this file is who I was, not who I am in your eyes. This file will help you get a better understanding of what I became and how I escaped. Caroline, we've hidden from each other long enough. It's time to regain our time together and that starts with this file." Kiara handed the file once again to Caroline, who pulled her sister into a hug before looking to what Sam and Steve where doing.
The file, which is about Bucky and the information regarding his Winter Soldier transformation, Sam walks over to Steve,"You're going after him?"
"You don't have to come with me. Neither do the Kinglsey siblings."
"I know. When do we start?" Sam asked which caused Caroline to raise her eyebrows in surprise.
