So Satan having left his new domain,

The fallen were left to their own device

And thoughts of their newly acquired place.

Belial having left his equals presence

To presently reconsider his choice,

In his thoughts was he lost as then he spake:

Vanquished are we by he who sits on high,

In hell our domain, by his wrath punished

To damnation from glory prior lost.

Heav'ns arch-enemy leaves us solemnly

Waiting for the signal of treachery

That he conceives for the newly conceived,

When content should we be here not yet worse,

Rather than provoke his wrath all the more

And find ourselves in endless punishment.

Fate has deemed we suffer our new kingdom,

Yet to rise again against the high one

Is our true unsurely reasoned intent.

Not through might we war but through treachery,

As yet unchallenged is the strength of He;

Our numbers great, yet greatly outnumbered.

Perhaps the fallen Lucifer has left

Us abandoned seeking His forgiveness

For the unforgiven act of treason

While foolishly we hope for his return?

Though deliverance for all we wait here

By chance he has retired to heaven

To plead for his own forgiveness, not ours.

Forsaken twice, twice forsaken by them

Who would declare sovereignty over us,

By reasoning our reasons, unreasoned.

Damned by heaven to the dam of hell.

Through freedom of will, to challenge his will

Was our willfully ambitious intent

When we followed our herald of freedom,

Where now he leaves us whether to challenge

Him or reclaim his former position.

He escaped, while Stygian fools play games

And have abandoned tyrant for tyrant.

Eternal peace I knew before that day,

Under law yet filled with glory and light,

Praise and bended knee were all that was asked,

In return to be given lasting peace.

Eternal peace for eternal suffering

Have we exchanged for unreasoned free will,

If pride allow, might I forgiven be

By the mercy of the holy Son

To regain my former glory of light

If before him I prostrate in praise.

Yet, no. Fate has sealed me in this hell;

Once great, now lowly reduced by his pride,

It was his tyranny that forced me here,

By unlawful laws unneeded in truth.

Serve Him I will not since freed now in hell.

From the servitude of heav'ns mock free will,

Freedom better in yoke than bended knee

I shall wait for His antagonist

To return from his search of the new son,

There shall we by treachery spite heavens;

Suffering I wait, unable to escape

From an unwanted escape from freedom.
