Alli and I wobbled off the ride to the boys. There was still a crowd hanging around. I saw them and the color drained from my face and my legs became weak for a whole new reason.

“Get her out of here.” Cody said to Alli as he judged my reaction. The way that Cody said ‘Get her out of here.’ Made my heart flutter, was it the way he sounded when he was serious? Or was it the way his eyes looked? I had no idea but I did know that it was hot. The boys walked towards the crowd smiling. Alli grabbed my arm and dragged me off the ride, heading in the opposite direction.

Alli was walking quickly and I had to quicken my pace to keep up with her. She led me away from everything into a small area between two kid rides, there was a bench and I fell onto it.

“You alright?” Alli asked.

“Fine.” I smiled at her. We sat and waited for the boys to come and get us. After half an hour. Cody jogged around the corner.

“Let’s go. Dad is going to take us all home.” Cody said. “We’re going to have to move quickly.” He said grabbing my hand. I nodded and matched his quick pace. Alli was on my other side. Alli and I were almost exactly the same height; I think I was a little taller than her. We passed by Austin and he fell in line with the three of us.

Alli pulled open a car door and we all piled in. I sat in the front row with Austin and Alli. Cody slid into the passenger seat beside his dad. Cody’s dad pulled away from the fair and I sat back in my seat. I watched as Cody talked with his dad. They laughed and joked around.

I became insanely jealous. “Where are you staying Ivy?” Mr. Simpson asked me.

“Really close to here. You can just drop me off here and I will walk from here.” I said. I didn’t want them to drive me back to the hotel.

“Oh no we will drive you. It is late out.”

“No really its fine.”

Cody told his dad where my hotel was. I shot a look at him. Cody smiled. I exchanged numbers with Austin and Alli while I waited to get back to the hotel. The car pulled up in front.

“Well this is me.” I said.

“Bye Ivy!” was chorused throughout the car. I climbed over Austin’s legs and walked up to the automatic door. I turned around one last time and waved as I walked through and rode the elevator to my room.

I spent the last little bit of the night telling Mum about the events of the night as I helped her sew Cody’s clothes and pick out more outfits for him to wear.

That night I slept like a baby. I woke up the sound of Mum tapping away on her laptop and her talking on the phone; she wasn’t even trying to be quiet.

“Mom.” I groaned as I covered my head with a pillow. I was awake now. I pulled myself out of bed and changed into a bikini. “I’m going to the pool to swim.” I said. Mum smiled and nodded. I walked down to the pool with a t shirt covering me.

There was nobody at the pool and I dropped my towel and t shirt on a chair. I put my hands on my hips and walked to the deep end of the pool. I stood at the edge of the pool with my toes hanging over. I looked back up and startled myself there was someone looking in at me, no wait that was just my reflection in a mirror.

I looked at it. My long straight brown hair just passed my back strap on my bikini. My skin was naturally tanned, my legs were muscular and strong, my stomach was flat I had a thin layer of fat over my muscle but I like it that way, my arms were nice and toned, but I needed more muscle in them. My skin was clear except for a few pimples at my hair line, but that was fine as well. I guess I liked the way I liked the way I look I thought. Well I wouldn’t mind if my hair was nicer and my nose wasn’t so small.
