Evan's POV:
I woke to the sound of heavy breathing and sat up. There was an incredibly big kink in my back from sleeping on the couch, making me wince as I sat up. I stood, looking over to where Jonathan slept, his mask still on as he snored softly. His mask made me remember something and I ran to my suitcase excitedly. I guess the sound of me rummaging through my bag woke Jonathan because he groaned. "God damn Evan, it's only like..." he paused yawning, "seven. We don't have to be at E3 until noon." I found what I was looking for and smiled happily. Putting the item behind my back, I walked over to the half asleep Jon.
"Dude, close your eyes." I commanded, still smiling like an idiot.
"Evan, what?" He questioned, his sleep ridden voice cracked slightly.
"Just do it man." I said and he sighed, closing his bright blue eyes. I pulled the gift from behind my back and held it out. "Tada!" I said and Jonathan opened his eyes.
He sat up, taking it from my hands and looking at it. "Wow, Evan, it's amazing!" He exclaimed happily. "Thank you!"
"No problem, it was my mask when I played hockey in highschool and I thought it really resembled the one you had in GTA so I thought I'd bring it for you to have." I explained, watching him fiddle with the mask in his hands.
I watched him as he fiddled with it, switching it from hand to hand. He gets up and faces away from me, taking his current mask off in one swift movement, replacing it with mine almost instantly. "Tada," he said spinning around, throwing his hands in the air. These actions were so bipolar to the ones earlier this morning, speaking of this morning...
"Hey, uh, how do you feel?" I asked, I could already feel myself getting worried for him more and more as I recall the events that only happened a few hours ago.
"Oh, yea," he said pulling his arms down and shrugging solemnly, "I feel fine now and I'm so sorry you had to see all that." He waved around his arms gesturing to the last part he said.
I smile softly and put my hand heavily on his shoulder, "It doesn't bother me, I'm here for you Jon, say what you need and I'll get it.""Like my bitch," Jonathan laughed loudly behind his mask; I couldn't help but join in, it was pretty fucking hilarious.
"Just don't abuse me and we'll be fine," I wink, taking my hand off Jon and slapping my hip with it. I swear we both cry-laughed for about a solid minute after that.
After we had gathered ourselves together again, Jon poked at my chest slightly, "you wanna order room service?"
"Sure, why the hell not?" I heave, jumping onto the bed, crawling across it to pick up the phone on the side table. I'm so fucking hungry, man, oh my fucking jesus.
"Hello, room service, how may I assist?" asked a male through the phone politely.
"Uh, could we possibly have some breakfast sent to our room?" I ask, tracing my finger over some detail I saw on the lamp base.
"Yes, of course sir, what were you thinking? Our menu is in the draw of the nightstand." I pull out the menu, asking Jon what he would like as I went through it myself. It only took a few seconds before our order was taken and we sat talking and joking once more. Jonathan was just like he was online; many people I have met have been so different in real life, Jonathan though... Jonathan played no act. Jonathan was real. But what Evan didn't know, was that Jonathan had been hiding from his real self for a very long time. So long infact that Jon had forgotten that he had abandoned himself; he was so unreal that he didn't even know it.
END OF CHAP 5 ~ I know it's short but i felt like it was a good place to leave things hanging ya know what i mean?
