In the morning I got out of bed after hours that felt like years in which I just looked at the ceiling. Maybe I should find Susan and talk to her. I have a really bad feeling and I really have to find out if she is home and safe.

I put my long hair up in a pony tail. My mom's perfume was still on my desk. I sprayed myself with it before I left the room.

Downstairs my mom was making breakfast while my dad was making coffee. They always seem so organised.

"Morning Ella." Dad said.

"Good morning." I sat at the table.

"Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes." Mom said "How was the party?"

My parents treat me better than usual.

"It was cool. I came home early." I said.

"That means it wasn't that great."

I took the tv remote as my parents kept talking about parties. News, news, news.

I stopped switching channels when I saw a familiar face in the right corner of the tv. Susan.

"A seventeen years old girl named Susan Forman went missing last night before she attented a party. Her mom said that she was called by a classmate of Susan's to come in a parking lot and take the girl home but when her mom arrived there her daughter was missing. Police thinks the girl was kidnapped on her way to the parking lot."

I sat there in shock. This can't happen.

"M-Mom." I said "I am that classmate."

She and dad turned around but they couldn't say anything because the bell rang. I started crying and my mom hugged my while my dad opened the door.

"Hello sir. My name is John. Is your daughtee, Elena, home? It's about the disspearence of her classmate, Susan Forman." He looked straight at me and gave me a cold look that made my whole body freeze. "May I talk to her alone?" the policeman looked back at my dad.

My dad nodded and my mom kissed my forehead "Tell him the truth, okay?" She did not wait for my answer and left the room followed by dad.

"Let's sit on the couch and talk. I have a few questions for you and then I am done." He said.

I slowly walked to the couch and sat down. My brain is still frozen from the look he gave me earlier.

"What happened last night?" He asked.

I told him about me and my friend getting ready, about how it was crowded, about how I found Susan in that horrible state.

"She told me to call her mom, she whispered it actually, because she couldn't speak and that was what I did."

"And then what happened? You walked her to the parking lot?"

I got stuck "Y-Yea." I can't do this. "We stayed at the parking lot for almost an hour. She also puked on the ground." I told the man looking into his eyes "Then we saw a car coming, and she told me that was her mom and then I left." I said. I know I was telling a horrible lie.

"Back to the party?" he asked.

"Yes." I said.

"Did you consume alcohol?"

"No. I don't drink, I am only 17."

He started laughing. That sound filled the room and made me jump a little.

"I may be old, but I know what all these parties are about." he said "One last question. Why did you help her?"

I am asking myself the same question, sir.
