Everyone around us was whispering behind their hands and giving our table glances.

"What's going on?" I asked Cynthia.

"Its your friend." she pointed to Zayn who just stared at his food, looking up at me once in awhile.

"I'm kinda... special." he spoke up.

"what do you mean special?" I asked, giving him a confused look.

"I have a rare ability that hasn't been used by another supe in centuries."

"well what is it? i mean.. if i don't know about it it must be pretty kool. I know of almost every supe ability there is that is known to our kind and well.. man kind." Louie stated and Zayn paused for a few seconds.

"I have the ability to control shadows and light."

I gasped and he just nodded. "Wow." my friends and I said together. Except for Thalia, who was very quiet and stared at Zayn when he wasn't looking. He caught her eyeing him and flashed a toothy grin. I swear she blushed three shades darker than a red rose.

"I-I think I'm gonna start walking to class. The science lab is a long way from here. It being across school and all." Thalia stuttered and got up to leave.

"Hey i have that class too. Mind if I join you?" Zayn asked with a wide smile. Thalia smiled back and blushed again.

"Not at all. Come on. We don't want to be late." they walked out of the cafeteria together and as soon as they were out of sight Louie spoke up.

"She is so crushing on him. It was a bit awkward, but they would be a cute couple. I mean, a dark fairy and a witch shadow bender? It's perfect."

"I know. Ans that poor girl needs a guy, like desperately." Arabella pitched in.

"Any who... Why is today so special?" i asked.

"Because today is the day that I'm going to ask out Niall. You know, tall, blond, Irish, vamp, hottie!" Arabella said.

"Oh. Yeah yea i know. You've been eyeing him for weeks." i replied.

"Yep. And well, this is how i normally dress so..." Cynthia said.

"Yeah. I know. You've always got some pretty cute cloths. By the way, can i barrow that shirt sometime?" i asked.

"Only if I can barrow your boots."

"Done. Just don't ruin them or your buying me new ones." We bickered for a few minutes about cloths while Louie just rolled his eyes and shoved scrabbled eggs in his mouth.

"I wonder how Thalia is doing with Zayn?" Bella said, breaking off the bickering nonsence of teen girls.

Thalia's P.O.V.

OHMYGOD!!! My crush is walking with me to class. I am going to die. Oh I just hope my wings don't sprout out infront of him. That would be so awkward considering I'm the only fairy in school with black wings! I wonder if he's every met a fairy? Does he know I'm a fairy? Should i say something? No Thalia don't freak him out. But would he...

My crazy girl mind babble was cut off by him speaking. His deep voice startled me a little making me jump.

"So.. I uh, didn't catch your name."

"Oh uh, I'm Thalia." he reached out to shake my hand and I shook his.

"That's a beautiful name." he bent down and kissed my hand and i looked at the ground trying to hide my blush. Clearly i didn't succeed because he smiled wide. "I'm Zayn."

"Thank you.. Nice to meet you Zayn." I new i was smiling like a dumbass.

"I don't mean to be rude but, what are you?" he asked.

"I'm a dark fairy."

"Wow. Thats awesome. No wonder why you're prettier than the other fairy girls." i blushed. "So can you like, grant wishes and stuff?" he said a bit sarcastic.

"I dont know I'm not that far yet. But i do know that i can communicate with animals and sorta control them and stuff.."

"That's an amazing power." he smiled. "Well i'm a witch, and you already know what i can do."

"Can you show me? It's ok if you dont want to.. i'm just curious."

"Nah it's ok. I'll show you." he walked me over to a corner with a small shadow. With one movement of his hand we completely disappeared.

"wow. this is amazing."

"thanks. I don't get that alot."

"well you should. Your powers are the koolest I've ever seen."

"i don't mind it much but i'm touched that you like it so much." he paused. 'i like you even more' i thought. "Thalia? um, I know we just met but would you wanna maybe, go out sometime?"

My answer was almost instant. "Yes. i'd love to." ans just like that, his head was slowly leaning down and in seconds his lips were centimeters from mine. I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest. Then there was a loud explosion from the science lab and Zayn backed up clearing the shadows and filling the hall with light.

"I'm sorry."

"It's ok. There was no harm down right? I mean, except for whatever just exploded in there." we both laughed and i let out a small breath of relief for how well i played that off. then just as fast as it started my fantasy ended and we entered the science lab where Mr. Payne was covered in a blue liquid.

"what happened in here?" i asked.

"I accidentally mixed the wrong chemicals together. Someone thought it was funny to switch my labels again and i have an idea on who it was. Anyways can one of you go to the janitors closet and bring me a mop and some rags?"

"I'll go. By the way Mr. Payne, this is Zayn hes a new student." i said.

"thank you Thalia. I will seat him next to you since you to have become friends."

And with that i left to the janitors closet. Mr. Payne was my favorite teacher. He likes to act like a friend with his students, that is unless you piss him off. On the way to the janitors closet i kept replaying everything that just happened in my mind but mostly the fact that i'm going out with Zayn Malik! Plus he almost kissed me! This is the best Monday ever.
