Hufflepuff: House of the Brave

Chapter One

"Come on Maddie, we have to find an empty compartment so we can all sit together." I say trying to keep up
with Violet. "Found one!" Violet yells since the train is extremely crowded and loud as most people would expect. "Slow,down." Geneva says breathing heavily and the three of us laugh at her as she regains her breath. "Come on let's get into the compartment." I say smiling as we open the doors. I sit down and Maddison sits next to me. Geneva and Violet sit across from us and we watch as platform nine and three quarters slowly disappears from our view. "Something from the trolley dears?" A voice says from behind us and I smile. "One package of Bertie Botts every flavor beans and a chocolate frog." I say and Maddison laughs a little as I pay for them. "Enjoy dears." She says before leaving. Just like every year it was time for our yearly Bertie Botts every flavor beans competition. "Alright you know the rules, if you can't swallow it then your out." I say smiling since I'm usually the champion of this game. "I'm gonna beat you this year." Violet say cracking her knuckles to try and intimidate me. "We'll just see about that." I say laughing as I open the box. I take out a red one and put it in my mouth. "Chili Pepper!" I exclaim as I force the jelly bean down my throat. "You should see your face right now, you look like a tomato!" Geneva laughs almost falling out of her seat. "Whatever, I still swallowed it so I'm still in this game." I say handing the box to Maddison. She takes a brown one with yellow spots on it. "That looks disgusting." Geneva says sticking her tongue out in disgust. "Trust me." Maddison says putting it in her mouth making all of us cover ours. "Apple Pie." Maddison proudly declares and the four of us laugh and continue our game.

"It's between Jay and Maddison, who will win and take the prize of one chocolate frog?" Geneva says in her best game show host voice making Maddison laugh. "I'm gonna beat you." I say picking out a green one with red dots on it. "That's what you think." Maddison says as I place it in my mouth. "SKUNK SPRAY!" I exclaim as I try to gulp it down but within just a few chews I open the window and spit it out. "I beat the champion!" Maddison declares throwing her hands in the air as Violet hands her the chocolate frog. "It was green and red?!" I say and Maddison laughs making me growl a little. "Looks can be deceiving." Geneva says and smiles as Maddison pulls three more chocolate frogs out of her purse. "I can't believe your a Gryffindor you seem so much like a Hufflepuff." I say taking one as Geneva and Violet do the same, but before she can say anything someone open the compartment door. "Is their any room in here? My brother kicked me out of our compartment to talk with his girlfriend." The boy says and I nod moving towards Maddison a little. "What's your name?" I say and the boy hold out his hand. "Albus, Albus Severus Potter." He says and I shake his hand. "You mean your the son of the Harry Potter?!" Geneva says more dramatically then needed. "Yeah, I get that a lot." He says looking a little embarrassed. "Well it's nice to meet you. My names Jay and this is Maddison,Violet and Geneva." I say and he smiles. "What year are you all in?" He asks. "We're all gonna be in our forth year this year." I say and the other girls nod. "I'm going into my fifth year." He replies. "What house?" I ask him. "Gryffindor, what about you four?" He asks and I smile. "Maddison's in Gryffindor as well, I'm in Hufflepuff, Geneva's in Slytherin and Violet's in Ravenclaw." I say and Albus looks as us wide eyed. "All four houses? And your all friends?" He says and I laugh. "Yeah, why not?" I says and he shrugs. "I guess I've never heard of that before but it's pretty cool." He say but before I can say anything else the train stops. "Well looks like we're here, see you girls around." Albus says walking out of the compartment. "See you around." I say quieter then I'd meant. "Someone has a crush." Geneva teases and Maddison hits her on the arm lightly. "Let's just get to the castle." Violet says and I nod not really wanting to continue the conversation. We walk down the trains long hallway and exit the train. "There's a empty one." Violet says running over to it Geneva and Maddison right behind her but I stop when I see a first year. He just looks towards the ground and hurry's over to Hagrid who's going to lead them to the boats. "Come on Jay!" Geneva calls making me jump. "Coming I yell and quickly get into the carriage but u can't seem to stop thinking about that little boy.
