Hufflepuff: House of the Brave

Chapter Two

"Welcome to Hufflepuff." I say faking a smile along with all the other hufflepuffs as a first year joins our table. Headmaster M begins to tell everyone the rules though I don't really listen since they never seem to change except for the fifth years but those only change slightly. Maddison waves to me a little and I wave back since I'm bored and waving is the most interesting thing that's happening right now. After the rules and traditional speech the food finally appears upon the table. I laugh when Jacob-a second year Hufflepuff-spills potatoes all over himself. I grab some napkins I have stored away in my pocket and hand them to him. He smiles and begins to wipe himself off. "Jacob and Jaylin sitting in a tree," One of my half-friends Melody says and I hit her on the arm making her laugh. Jacob blushes a little and begins to eat the food that ended up on his plate. "Stop it Melody, you're embarrassing him." I whisper and take some noodles and put them on my plate. "I'm just playing." She says and continues to eat her food.

"I'm soooooo tired." Geneva wines we give each other a group hug. "Well good thing the prefects are taking everyone to their room then." Violet says smiling. "Well, meet you guys in the great hall tomorrow morning." I say giving everyone one last hug before I run over to the Hufflepuff prefect, Alice. "Why do you care so much about Jacob anyway?" Melody asks and I sigh. "It just wasn't nice to embarrass him in front of everyone like that, I was just being nice and helping him clean himself off." I say rolling my eyes and she giggles but then hurries off to talk with her friends. "Why did we all have to be in different houses?" I moan as we begin to climb the huge staircase leading to the Hufflepuff common rooms.

That this chapter is soooooooo short and that I haven't updated this book in forever, I got a new cover(the one who made the cover is in this books info.) and I'm gonna try and be better about updating. Anyways peace out poppy seeds!
