"Hi. I'm Zach" I smile, pressing my books to my chest. "Nice to meet you" he leans in a tiny bit and smiles. I smile back. "So, you need any help finding classes or anything?" He asks trying to be helpful. "It's been a full day already, I know where my classes are" I laugh softly. "Oh, yeah. True" he shrugs with a smile on his face. "Thanks, though. I'll see you later" I nod to him and smile. "Alright" he smirks, turning back around. I also turn around and head back down the hall.

I head to my locker and open it up, putting some of my books in it. I smile softly at the thought of Adam. I don't know why, but there's something there that made me happy. Weird. Calli turns around from her locker, "what's with the smile?" She taunts me and comes over, nudging my shoulder. "Nothing, can't I just smile about a happy day in High school?" I laugh. "You... Smiling about High school?" She lets out a loud laugh and I do too. "I don't know... It's just..." I put some more books into my locker, blushing. "I ran into this person..." I laugh. "A person!" She shouts "Tell me more..." She leans in, nudging me in the side. "I don't know, man" I close my locker and lean against it on my back. "He was a senior, I think" I blush a little bit. Calli jumps up and down, "How did you get a senior to like you on the first day?" She says excitedly. "Omigod, he doesn't like me. I just rammed into him on accident" I laugh. "I bet you did it on purpose" she taunts me again. "No, stop" I shove her playfully. "You sure?" Calli says as I walk away. "I'm leaving now" I wave and laugh as head to the front doors.

I get in my Mom's car and she drives off. "How was school?" She asks. "Good" I reply. "Meet any new people?" She adds. "Nope" I say.  We carry on a conversation very similar to that for the rest of the ride home. Once we get home, I grab my backpack and open the door. I leave it open behind me so my Mom could follow. I head to my room and throw my backpack onto the floor. I lay on my stomach on the bed and pull out my phone to text Calli and Paulina.  We talk about the day and everything that happened, Calli of course bringing up my encounter with Adam and causing Paulina to become curious too. I change the subject every time and after a while I just throw my phone to the side.

After hours had passed, I was laying in my room on my bed with the light on and the door closed, my parents asleep. I was watching TV and scrolling through my Twitter feed at the same time. I see tons of Tweets about the first day of school and blah, blah, blah. I suddenly see Adam's twitter on one of my friend's accounts, odd... But whatever. I click on his account and scroll through, seeing Tweets from a bunch of plastic girls. I stop after five minutes of scrolling and throw my phone aside. I turn off the light and crawl under the covers, falling asleep fairly quickly since I had such a busy day.

The next day would arrive way too quickly. I woke up and climbed out of bed, extremely drowsy. I go to the bathroom and lock the door, undressing and entering the shower. The warm water feeling amazing after waking up from such a deep sleep. After I get out, I put on some clothes and shoes, waiting for my Dad to tell me it was time to go. Nonetheless, he said so about five minutes later. I got in his car after descending the flights of stairs in my house, and I buckle my seatbelt. My Dad backs the car out and we take off toward school.

After thirty minutes of driving to my school, (which was really far away from my house) we got there. I climbed out of the car as I have the past three mornings. I head over to the doors and heave them open, the warm air once again blasting at my face in a comforting manor. I head down the aisle until I reach the common area, or 'the pits', as they called it. Everything was normal until I saw Adam walking toward me with his friends.
