I break the kiss, gently putting my thumb on his lips. "Not yet..." I run my fingers through his hair. He hesitates for a moment before kissing my hand softly, "You're right. There's Kenzie and my parents...". I nod slowly, "I want to, believe me" I laugh softly. "Me too..." He says before kissing my forehead. He pulls me down onto the bed, wrapping his arm around me as I lay my head on his chest. "Wanna sleep here?" He asks quietly, rubbing my side gently. "Yeah," I look up at him and smile, "but we have to come up with an excuse to my parents as to why I didn't come home" I laugh quietly. "We'll cross that bridge when we get there" He kisses the top of my head, his scruff once again tickling me. We lay there quietly until we both eventually fall asleep at two in the morning.
I'm woken up by a soft kiss, the mixture of Adam's plush lips and his facial hair sends a chill down my spine. I open my eyes slowly and smile, "Hey". "Hi" He says softly, he must've pulled the covers over us at some point. We were still in the same position that we were in at two in the morning. The birds were chirping outside, the sun beaming in through the windows. "We have school" I look up at him. "Yep," He stretches, "Need some clothes?" He asks looking down at me. "Sure" I laugh. He gives me a pair of shorts and a shirt to wear, I close the door to the walk-in closet and change before coming back out. His clothes were a bit big on me, but didn't look too out of place. "You look.. Different" He laughs. He's right, this isn't really my style. Hopefully nobody notices. After he gets dressed we sneak down the hallway and out the front door. We head down the stairs and to his car. He sticks the key into the ignition and the car starts. I roll down the passenger window, the day being beautiful. He backs out of his driveway and takes off down the road.
"We woke up late" He laughs. The clock in the car says it's eight-thirty. "Oops" I laugh back, taking his hand. He squeezes mine gently. "You have a game Friday, right?" I ask. "Yep, you comin'?" He looks over at me for a second. "I don't like football, but I'll come for you" I smile. "Alright" He smiles as well, squeezing my hand a bit tighter. After about five minutes he pulls up outside of the school and parks, turning the car off. "Ready?" He looks over at me. "Always am" I laugh and get out of the car. We walk in together, standing fairly close to each other. He wraps an arm around my hip and I smile up at him. The second we were in the building we stand further away from each other. We head down the hall and since we were late, there were only a few people. We stop and face each other. "I have to head to the locker room" He smiles softly. "Okay" I smile. I walk to the right of him, grabbing his hand tightly and releasing it before I pass him. I bite my lip and he lets out a soft laugh. I head to the Drama room, a smile plastered to my face the entire way.
Calli grabs my arm as I pass the choir room, "your Mom asked me where you were last night" she smirks. "I just went to Adam's house..." I scratch the back of my head awkwardly. "Oh. My god," She squeezes my arm, "tell me more. Now". "Nothing happened, seriously. We just went to hang out and I fell asleep on his couch" I look into her eyes. "O-kay" she laughs and walks the opposite direction of me. I roll my eyes, continuing to the Drama room. Once I reach it, I sit down on the same couch I had the past days. "Hey guys," the Drama teacher says, "Before we get started I just wanted to announce that our Musical is coming up, sign-ups are on the wall outside of the room". I look up, interested. Musical. Maybe this would be fun?
