I was laughing at nothing in particular. Smoke coming out of my mouth and nose like dragon's breath, some random dude that approached me earlier on the ground next to me gripping my thigh, my eyes blood shot and my breath having the aroma of a sweet grape scent, leaving a tang in my mouth like honeydew.

"Where the fuck are we?" My sixteen year old self asked, laughing with bloodshot red eyes looking at the tall, pine cone trees.

"That my dearie," The guy stood up tall, shuffling his shaggy brown hair and looking down at me. "Is up to you."

He gave me a slight grin, and hoisted me up, smiling at me warmly. "You're very special to me, you know that, right?"

I had no idea what he was talking about at the time, so I simply nodded my head.

"So you would never leave me?"

This seemed to waken me from my cloud-nine state. My hooded red-brown eyes were now wide open, shielding themselves with the strands of my honey brown hair. I gulped and shook my head no. "I don't even know you that well, I-I can't promise you I never will."

"What?" The boy asked sharply, walking towards me until my back hit the nearby stump of a pine cone tree. "It should be an indefinite yes! You have my mark. You can never, ever, leave me."

My shoulders had slumped and my lips twitched into a frown. "What mark? Are you insane? I don't even know your name!"

The boys' lips twitched into a sinister grin this time, not like a warm, loving one like the others. "Well, dearie, In due time I'm sure you will know it."

I stood still. I had closed my eyes and didn't want to open them, my fingers shook at my sides, and my brain was like a never ending broken machine, throwing Spanish curse words everywhere at the sudden statement.

When I opened them, The boy was gone, leaving a marking in the ground that read "M.E."

Since I have deleted both of my previous vampire/werewolf books ((ik ik im dumb)) I decided to give it another try and actually commit bc I need to stop being so suckky )): But anyways, I'm super pumped 4 this one & Matthew is going to be a hybrid like thing (a vampire and werewolf) and I rlly hope this one doesn't flop ((:
