AN: is anybody even enjoying this story:-(
Tyler had no idea when or how he had fallen asleep. He picks his head up off the tile floor and looks around for a clock. He doesn't see one. After all, who has a clock in their bathroom? Tyler's phone was at home, Jackson doesn't allow him to have it unless he's looking over the smaller boy's shoulders, watching his every move. Tyler closes his eyes and sighs. He is restricted. He can't do anything. Absolutely no freedom for nineteen year old Tyler Joseph. He's not allowed to leave the house unless Jackson knows exactly where he's going, half the time he doesn't even let Tyler. He wants to run away and forget this life. All the young boy wants is to start over. Tyler's eyes wander over to Josh's medicine cabinet. He gets up and walks over to it, but quickly forces himself away. Tyler go towards the exit, the door creaks as he unlocks and opens it. He peaks his head out, looking up and down the hallway. His eyes land on Josh, who is leaning against the doorframe. Little snores escaping his mouth. Tyler smiles. Before waking Josh, he turns to look out the window. It's dark out. He turns back over to the slumped over figure. Although Tyler is older than Josh, he is significantly smaller. Tyler gently shakes The faded red-orange haired boy. Nothing happens. He shakes him harder, and Josh is suddenly sitting up right, eyes wide open. When he sees it's Tyler, he relaxes a bit, leans back against the door and smiles.
"Hey," his voice is thick with sleep.
Tyler smiles. "Hi."
"How are you feeling? Are you okay?" Josh begins to stand up.
"I'm okay, better now. What time is it?"
Josh pulls out his phone, his eyes squinting from the light. "A little after two." He holds out his hand and Tyler helps him to his feet.
"Shit. Do you mind if I crash here? Jackson will actually behead me if I go home at this hour. Plus, I'm too tired to deal with him. I'll do it tomorrow."
Josh chuckles. "Stay as long as you want. My home is your home. Plus, I don't want you to get beheaded. Also, I really enjoy your company," something in Josh's face changes.
Tyler stares back at the taller figure, taking in his features. He looks at the way Josh's eyes sparkle in the dim light from the bathroom, how his nose fits proportionally with the shape of his jawline, how his eyebrows have perfectly arched arches. (Tyler thinks he does them) how his hair is messy from his sleep, how his lips look so soft and...
Tyler didn't realize he was staring until he sees a hand wave in his face. "Earth to Tyler," Tyler mentally shake his head and laughs.
"That has a nice ring to it, dontcha think?" Tyler playfully nudges his arm.
"Very. Now, let's go to bed, shall we?" Josh puts his hand out, initiating Tyler to go first.
