Prologue

*Author's note: Hiya! So excited for this! So, just want to tell you, this chapter is Yuzu-chan's backstory. It's really sad... Anyway, let's get started!*

Onee-san didn't deserve this... Anyone but Onee-san. 

The rain fell relentlessly around me, but the only thing dampening my cheeks was my tears. I choked back a sob. It wasn't fair! Onee-san didn't deserve this! I watched Kazuki slam her fist into the wall and I knew it was her way of stopping her tears. "H-how long?! How long have you been doing this?!" she screamed at thin air. I cradled Onee-san's lifeless grief seed in my cupped hands. Then, a cat-like creature scampered out. It was white with pink on the tips of its ears. It had a cute face, used to decive innocent girls and lure them into its trap. Kazuki was relentless, like the rain. "You knew! Why... Why us?! What do you want from us?! Answer me, Kyubey!" The creature tilted its head. "I only want what I need to keep my planet alive. I did what I had to to protect what I love. Yuzuki, you could save her. You could make a contract with me and become a magical girl." Kazuki, however, shook her head. "You already took Noruko from me! You can't have Yuzuki too!" She shielded me from the creature. I closed my eyes, trying to sort out my thoughts. Onee-San died. She became a witch. I will never eat her bento again, never laugh with her and Kazuki on the school roof again, never snuggle next to her when I'm scared at night again; Onee-san is gone forever... But I can change that. It's up to me to fix it. With that thought in mind, I stood up. "Kyubey, I'll make a contract with you." Kyubey looked up at me while Kazuki stared on in shock. "I thought you would say that.~" I trembled as I made the decision of a lifetime standing there, in the cold rain. "So, what is your wish?~"
