"Your single."

"My single." I agreed, staring at the blank manuscript paper in front of me.

"I can't write music very well. I took piano lessons years back, but-"

Blake glared at me. The composer he had asked in, a trendy looking middle aged woman with a cool platinum bob was attempting to disguise laughter.

"What?" I said impatiently. I only had a few weeks to get this done!

William placed a hand on my shoulder.

"Look, Blake, she's new to all of this. Adeline, just sing a melody like you did earlier, Greta will jot it down and accompany it. Don't worry to much about words yet."

"I have the words all sorted out." I said proudly, pulling out a sheet of crumpled paper.

I walked over to Greta (the composer) and showed her my lyrics. She peered at them through her hipster glasses.

Dream on, soldier,

The front lines can wait a day,

Dream on, teacher,

Your students know the way,

Walk through the musicland,

Can you feel the beat?

Tears on my melody,

The harmony at my feet...

Dream on, dreamer,

The day has not yet come,

Dream on, Gardner.

The flowers bloom under the sun,

Behind, the rose bush,

New Love will bloom,

Beneath the silver moon,

Glimmering lives shine bright...

Dream on, dreamer,

Stay with me, for on more night,

Dream on, dreamer,

In the morning you'll take flight...

She tilted her head and turned to Blake.

"I actually quite like this, it has a nocturnal, but gentle feel. Does it fit with the image?"

Blake nodded, scanning the lyrics.

"The photoshoot took a princess feel. Wait! I've got it!"

He smiled widely, the first time I'd seen him smile.

"Adeline. From Swan Lake. Adeline Swan. I like it."

"Pure, innocent, beautiful princess."

"That's it then."

"Are you happy?"

Both of them turned to me.

"What?" I asked, not following their train of thought.

Don't think to quickly. It can't be good for you.

"Okay, your stage name will be Adeline Swan." said Greta.

"You're taking on a fairytale image."

said Blake.

"Your first single will be called Dreamer."

"Stop." I said, cutting them off. I was not letting them take this over.

"My single is called 'New Love'. This also has market appeal! I'm a new artist. I want to be their new love. Adeline Swan is good. Can we actually compose the piece now?"
