Sitting on the porch in Mitzuki's house as the rain continuesed to pour, I couldn't but help feel terrible. My heart ached. I caused Annabelle so much pain. I pushed myself away. To shield her from the harm of this world. From me. Why am I such a failure?

I took a big gulp of tea before answering her but burned my tongue. I jumped up in pain and panted to get air on it to cool It down like a dog and accidentally scolded my arm and my chest, the rain felt soothing on my burns.
"oh um.. We walked."I said. I couldn't help but give her a sheepish grin. I guess i had almost forgotten her question. " all the way here.
" wow. But it's a long way. You didn't sense epidemus while on your way here, did you? "
" no, but I sensed low level demons about. Encountered a few."
" I see. Well I'm not surprised you got here safely. Im just surprised you got here so quick. "
" we did come across one annoying scoundrel.. And he happened to mention epidemus. He said he was watching and-" a faint trace of spiritual energy I had felt all the way here was back. This was the spiritual
energy of someone who was bad at concealment. It felt likely that they were of high class stature too. Though I couldn't quite put my finger on it.

" who are you? were you following us?" I cut her off in mid excuse, grabbing tightly on to her jacket. I shook her" she gritted her teeth in dislike " no, I know you were. Answer me, who the hell are you?" My voice was cold and angry. "Unhand me!" She
spat like a little brat. I shook her again but she wouldn't tell me anything.
" oh my how scary you are, such a big brute!"
I catch a glimpse of something in the darkness and at first I didn't think anything of it but suddenlyI realised ... my hand rushed to the swan necklace. " it's-..It can't be.." I gasped in horror, and shock. I had to get away,
" I can't " I fell to the ground clutching my head. Memories flooded me. " I need to stop. I need to stop thinking! How was this possible?!" I cried.
