Chapter 9
I am not in the mood for your lies
♥♥♥ Third Person P.O.V♥♥♥
Amelia Fell unlocked the door to her parents house to be bombarded with many a question by her mother.
“Where have you been young lady? Your brother, your father and I have been worried sick!” Lillian Fell said, in attempt to lecture her teenage daughter.
“Why did you let me transfer to Mystic Falls High School?” Amelia asked her mother putting her purse and keys on the side table.
“What?” her mother asked confused.
“I mean. Why now? After three years of me begging you to let me transfer, why did you suddenly decide to let me transfer now?” Amelia asked.
“Well, it’s your junior year. You might as well enj-” Lillian Fell started.
“No mom. I want the truth, for once in my life I want you to not lie to me. Cause, trust me. I am not in the mood for your lies,” Amelia hissed, turning around to look her mother straight in the eye.
“Okay, but I think you better sit down,” her mother warned her.
Amelia sat on the arm chair sipping her tea as both her parents sat on the couch opposite to her, watching her every move. “Well?” Amelia asked with a raised eyebrow, putting down the cup on the coaster.
“Amelia, have you ever thought about why, your brother, your mother and me all have brown hair and brown eyes and you have blonde hair and green eyes?” Daniel Fell asked.
“I know why dad. It’s the Forbes part of me,” Amelia laughed.
“No, honey. It’s not,” Lillian Fell said putting her hand on Amelia’s.
“The deal was, when you were eighteen you could meet your parents,” Daniel Fell said receiving a questioning look from Amelia.
“Your real parents,” Lillian explained.
“I-I-I-I,” Amelia said in a feeble attempt to speak. She exhaled then tried again. “I’m adopted?” she asked.
“Yes Amelia, you are,” Lillian nodded.
“You see, your moth-. I mean Lillian, couldn’t have anymore children due to… complications. And we wanted someone for Aiden, and Lillian always wanted a little baby girl. So we adopted, you,” Daniel revealed.
“And, you never thought to tell me this?” Amelia questioned, still attempting to get her had around the fact that she was adopted.
“We didn’t want to Amelia. We became… so…. attached to you. We never wanted to truly face the fact that you weren’t our little girl,” Lillian explained as a tear began to run down her cheek.
“I don’t know whether Aiden knows. I doubt he remembers, he was only four at the time,” Daniel admitted.
“Wait. You said the deal was for me to meet my parents when I was eighteen. I’m seventeen,” Amelia pointed out.
“We didn’t want your father to be a complete stranger to you when you found out. I mean, it’s traumatic enough, never mind finding out that your father is just some strange man you have never met,” Lillian said.
“Wait. I know my father. D-does he know t-t-” Amelia started.
“No honey, he doesn’t. Only me & Lillian know,” Daniel said.
“What has any of this got to do with me transferring?” Amelia asked gaining back her ability to speak
“Your father, he’s one of your teachers. Mr Saltzman,” Lillian said dropping the bomb shell.
Amelia spluttered continually opening and closing her mouth. “I’m… Ric’s my…I… what?” Amelia said staring blankly at the couple.
“Yes, you’re his daughter. Ric’s your father,” Daniel said.
“Oh my God,” Amelia said closing her eyes shut for a minuet. “Wait!” she shouted suddenly opening her eyes again. “Who’s my mother, one of the dinner ladies?” Amelia asked.
“No, of course not dear. We don’t know much about her, she urg.. she died whilst giving birth to you,” Lillian said. Amelia looked at her, disheartened.
“But we do know one thing,” Daniel said causing Amelia to lay eyes on him.
“What?” Amelia asked.
“Her name…… Michelle-Anne,”

Like I said, I do indeed suck at surprises, plot twists & all that shabang.
