The Truth Hidden Within

All will be revealed

I walked over to him, my hands in my pockets, he kept staring into my eyes smiling at the same time, and so I smiled back, blushing at the same time. XD. I looked at the ground,

"I'm so sorry I didn't believe you" I whispered to him, he replied

"It's okay, I didn't expect you to, it's slightly crazy telling someone that your a vampire slayer and all that, I wouldn't have believed it if I was in your position".

He leaned forwards and hugged me,

"It's okay, I’ll protect you, just follow and help me okay, you'll be fine, oh and by the way, it's probably not the wisest of decisions to have a crush on a vampire" Jake whispered in my ear, still hugging me.

I stood there next to him, confused, I didn't understand what he was talking about. Then he told me a shocking piece of news that I will never forget...

"Hayley,.... I’m half vampire, my dad..."

"Whaaaat, um, but,um, yyouur a good one though, right?" I queried, a little more worried than I previously was. Now this is one thing I never saw coming, an actual vampire, well sort of, half. I stepped back a step, a little freaked out by the sudden news that was dropped on me, although surprisingly I wasn't scared, not at all in fact. Instead, I felt  very protected and secure which is a bit strange seeming that he'd actually be my predator.

Although the whole "half vampire" thing came a shock to me, the most shocking part of all was that it was Jake, the most happiest, ordinary guy I’ve ever seen. I don't know how he copes, hiding this huge secret on his shoulders, I know if it was me, I wouldn't be able to smile, I’d be too worried that someone would find out, imagine that, you'd be a science experiment for the rest of your life.

"By the way how, did you know that I, you know, like you?"

Jake laughed a cheeky  grin grew across his face

  " Yeahh haha, i'm a gooden', and you know, premonitions not only that but it's kind of obvious when someone watches you every lunchtime" He said in a jokey tone. I blushed. I can't believe he saw me, how embarrassing, he must have thought I was stalking him or something. Wait I guess I sort of was.

"Oh and um, here's some potion to take in case you get bitten, because I had a premonition and unfortunately you can't really change the future, you just don't know when it's coming, but when it does, if it does, i'm sorry that I didn't protect you"

 Jake told ,me that if too much venom got in my bloodstream, it would kill me instantly, instead of making me a vampire if it was a small amount of venom. My icy fingers touched Jakes hand as he passed me the small bottle of clear liquid, his hands were surprisingly warm at this time of night and the temperatures soaring below 5 degrees.

I felt an instant connection when I touched his hand, all time appeared to stop and I was frozen in amazement, I looked up to his soft smouldering eyes, which beamed back at mine. It was like magic and I knew he felt it too. Unfortunately, we both knew there was no more time that could be wasted. I delicately placed, the glass bottle containing antidote in my  trouser pocket for safety and we both headed inside the Lair for the first time, well sort of.
