This is definitely the most intense part so far. There are more gory descriptions and lots of mystery and hopefully you all enjoy! This chapter was inspired once again by babyboitroye because she is always begging me to write! 😂😅

As the police storm around my house, I can feel my nerves rising. What was watching me? What did they see? How did that camera even get there? Was the other hole because of them too? My mind is frantic. One officer comes up to me and knelt down in front of Maple and I. He had broad shoulders but a relatively small waist. His legs were slim and his arms were as well. His head suited his shoulders well, being large and slightly beefy.
"Ma'am I have to ask you some questions." His voice was deep but clear.
"Oh-okay..." I'm still so shocked I don't know how I can manage to speak.
"When did you first notice this hole?"
"Oh well... Only a few minutes before you arrived."
"Did you notice the other hole in your room?"
"Yes! And I put my finger in the hole and I had to have stitches. Something cut me!"
"Okay, okay. Well, when was that?"
"I got stitches for my cut on Monday and I noticed the hole a day or two before that."
"Thank you."
He carried on asking me a few more questions- most of which about my mental state- and I answered politely, but all I wanted to do was yell, What the Hell is behind the wall and why is it there!? Of course, I did not. After he had finished interrogating me, he moved onto Maple. She was very impatient with the officer, and gave him an annoyed look every time he asked her to explain something. Most of her responses were "oh." "Yes." "No." "Alright." "I can't."
That was part of the reason Maple and I got along so well. She always understood me, even without knowing I needed someone to understand. We had the same opinions most of the times and we were probably the two most educated people in this town."Okay. That will be all." The officer stood up and walked off, his notepad and pencil in hand. After he left I turned to Maple, who was slyly staring at the mans behind.
"Do you think they'll ever figure out what put the camera there?"
Her head snapped towards mine. "I'm not sure, honey." She had a worried expression on her face.Out of the blue, Mike stomped out of his "cave" and came towards me, looking furious.
"You just had to call the police about some stupid hole. You're so dramatic and taht isn't all, now the cops think I put the camera behind your wall! They think I'm an adolescent perv who gets off by watching my sister! Those to said so!" His cheeks were red and tears welled in his eyes when he flung an arm behind him and pointed towards two officers standing in the hall.
"Mike I didn't-"
"Shut up! I hate you! Everyone is gonna blame me for this! It wasn't my fucking fault!" He was screaming now. A few officers turned to look at us but, I attempted my best poker face.
"Go. To. Your. Room." I calmly stated, he could see the seriousness in my eyes, even though he chose to ignore it.
"Don't you tell me. What. To. Do." He quietly retorted. "See you later." He said as if all was fine and he ran out of the house with his skateboard which, I hadn't even noticed he was holding. I could hear him jump on and ride away down the street, most likely going to his friends house.I rolled my eyes and walked over to the police chief.
"It wasn't my brother. I got home before him and that hole wasn't there when I left this morning."
"I never said it was." He answered calmly with an expression of confusion on his face.
"My brother said you thought he did it."
"No no, even if we did we would never go around pointing fingers and making accusations especially on the scene." A few of the officers behind him turned slightly pink in the face. They were chuckling, clearly ignorant and younger than most of the other police. Much older than the police chief I was talking to.
"Well tell your men to watch there mouths. Someone said it." He looked shocked at the fact that I was ordering him around. I was staring down the two men. At first, he only watched me as I headed towards the two officers until i clenched my fists. He then, started after me until we were interrupted by the frantic outbreak.
"Quick! Quick! Come quick!" We both darted our heads in the direction of my bedroom. One of the officers was hollering frantically. We darted up towards my room to see blood on the hardwood and another officer on the floor screaming. His hands were over his face and there was blood dripping through the cracks between his fingers. He was sitting on the floor, rocking back and fourth rapidly. I was quickly pushed out of the room, the horrific scene drawn in Sharpie on my mind. I couldn't un-see what I had seen. The mans eyeball was on the floor next to him, right under my desk. There are some moments in your life you know you will never forget, and this was one of them.

Hours after the injured officer was carried out of the house on a stretcher, we hear the news that we was okay, but would never be able to see out of his right eye ever again. Whatever was behind my wall has been deemed unexplainably dangerous and we should avoid being in the house as much as possible. As soon as dad arrives, he gives me a bear hug. I remember how fun bear hugs were when I was little. My mom and dad used to play games with Mike and I and when we won we got bear hugs. When we were sad, mad, happy, frustrated. We got bear hugs. My favorite thing in the world was grabbing there shirts so when they stood up they took me flying up with them. I haven't gotten one from dad since mom died, so when his arms wrap around me I can't help but start balling. I miss mom, I miss my dad, I miss our whole family. I'm scared of what's in the room and I'm scared that we won't be able to have a happy family especially with what's going on. With every tear I shed, 10 more come crashing down. He hugs me tighter.
"Hey, hey, Case, it'll be okay." His soothing voice calms me down a little. I stop crying but I don't wanna let go of his hug. We stand there for a minute in silence, and then we break. I wipe my wet cheeks and dad sits at the table.
"How could this happen?" His hand is on his temple and he looks distraught.
"Everything will be fine." Maple chimes in.
"Where's Mike?" Dad suddenly looks around.
"He left." I say quietly. I don't want dad to get mad at me.
"Oh... Alright." He pauses. "Where do we go now?"
"My friend Georgette went to Arizona to visit family. She is going to be down there for a couple years. She said we could stay at her home if we need."
Dad gives Maple an unsteady look.
"Are you sure she is okay with that?"
"Yes. We are good friends."
He nods his head and finally, I say something.
"How do we get our stuff?"
Dad and Maple both turn to me.
"The police are coming back to escort you to your room. They're going to help you collect your things."
"Oh... Okay."(⌒▽⌒)
