New House

So this is more of a "moving" part. This gives you a little insight on Casey and Mikes relationship and also gives you some detail on the new house. Only at the very end does something huge happen.

Georgettes house was nothing less than a mansion. We walked in through the large, dark, wooden double doors. The first thing I saw was assumed to be a living room. It was nothing like any living room I'm used to. There was a large red black and brown sequined carpet underneath the large, black, leather couch. Two leather chairs were set on either side of the couch and a large TV was atop of a black glass TV stand. The room was huge and barely filled by the furniture. Maple locked the door behind us and continued to show everyone the rest of the house. The kitchen was only a slight bit smaller than the living room. The large white appliances were practically sparkling. Everything seemed completely Renaissance themed, even with the updated appliances. We walked to four bedrooms and bathroom.
"Casey honey, this is your room. Get comfortable and I'll order us some Chinese later."
I nodded my head as Maple leaf dad and Mike to the other three rooms down the hall.

Walking into this bedroom, I felt like I was brought into a whole different world. There was a soft, clumpy carpet under my shoes and a light yellow color on the walls. Light poured in through the large bay window, directly across from the bed. I slid my shoes off, put my bag down, and dropped onto the queen sized bed, taking up most of the room. A skinny and tall metal desk is placed on the opposite side of the bed, with a large mirror resting on top. I undo the blankets on the bed and snuggle up underneath them. At least this place is in town.

The next time I wake up, is to my alarm clock. Shit. School. I get out from the warmth of the blankets and sit on the bed. All of a sudden, I hear my stomach growl. I must've fallen asleep before dinner. I get up and dig through my clothes bag for clothes and my toothbrush and toothpaste. I get dressed in a pair of blue jeans and a yellow long- sleeve with a white collar. I look around the room for a light switch, but without my glasses I can't see anything. I turn to the bed. Fuck I fell asleep with them on. I get on my hands and knees and feel around for the metal frames underneath the bed. Unexpectedly, I feel something hit my butt. I get off of my hands and knees and turn to see my glasses on the ground and Mike in the hallway.
"You fell asleep with them on so I took them off last night. They were here." I see him gesture to the side table by the door.
"Oh. Thanks." I put my glasses on and give him a cold look.
"Hey.. Look, I just- I wanted to say I'm sorry about- yesterday. I don't hate you. You know that."
"Yeah I know" I sigh "I get it. Those stupid cops were way out of line."
"Yeah.." He turns and walks down the staircase.
I get on my tall, brown boots and walk into the bathroom, toothbrush and toothpaste in hand.

I roughly scrub my teeth and tongue attempting to get the morning taste out of my mouth. I know without eating something, it won't go away. I spit into the sink and splash the water around with my hands to clean the sink off. After, I take my glasses off and throw the water into my face. Wake up. It's just a nightmare. I keep telling myself none of this so real but, nothing works. I shake my hands off and use a towel to dry my face. I place my glasses back onto the rim of my nose and brush my hair out. Why is it always so wavy? Maybe I should re-dye it? The pink is starting to lighten up. I walk downstairs and see Mike with four pieces of toast being pulled out of the toaster.
"Two for you." He says.
Mike and I have always gotten along, but not in the way most people would expect. When we fight, we usually are on the same side. He stands up for me and I do the same, although, Mike is never one to be picked on. Nobody messes with him. He is relatively tall, yet thin. His arms and legs have the most muscle and he has always been a smart ass when it comes to come-backs and threats. When he gets genuinely angry, like yesterday, his face turns red and veins in his neck bulge. He has gotten into his fair share of fights, usually during football or basketball.
"Well...? Are you gonna eat something or stand there?" Mikes voice snaps me out of my thought.
"Oh.. Yeah." I sit down at the large table and eat the plain toast.
"So... Are you okay? You've been a little spacey lately."
"Yeah I'm fine, the whole thing is just a little-"
"Scary?" Mike is staring off at the ground and chewing his toast.
"Yeah..."
"Okay so we should get going."
"How are we going to get there?"
"Oh um... My friend was gonna bring me... Want a ride?"
"Oh sure." So we get up and head for the door.

The ride to school is strangely loud. Mike and his friend are talking and blaring music while the girl next to me, I presume is mikes friends girlfriend,  and I are still waking up.

We arrive at the high school and the girl and I get out. God, I hope that's wasn't his girlfriend. She walks off and joins a group of her friends. I walk off to find Marceli but, no Zack. What the fuck. He said he'd be here today.
"Hey."
"Hi." Marceli is bouncing and her large, curly pigtails go flying about. I see a twinkle in her almond- shaped eyes.
"What's up?" I wonder why she is so peppy today.
"Well......" She glances up to the ceiling and a large smile spreads across her face. " I heard about what happened and I'm so so sorry but, I have great news. Tonight, you and me. We are gonna sneak into your house and figure out what the Hell is in there."
Oh Jesus. She is such a thrill seeker.
"Marceli, I dont know if that is the best idea.."
Oh but I really want to
"Aww... Okay." She walks away. I look down and honestly, I feel really bad. But, maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea. Just, not with her. She is too loud and proud to go in there and I wouldn't want to put her in danger.

The idea shifts around in my mind all day. I am thinking about how I could pull it off and when I could go through with it. I think about going straight after school, no one would care. What about dad... I hate how he is going to be home now. Everything is going to change. Sure I'd love to see him but couldn't he have been more involved I don't know, say 4 years ago! I'll just tell him I stayed after school. Yeah. That sounds good.

Walking towards the old house was quiet. No one picked on me as I left the school, and the whole way there I kept turning around, making sure no one was behind me. I could tell winter was coming, the sun was out but the wind blew hard against my back. Thank God I remembered my coat.

I trudged up the narrow road that lead to our driveway. When I arrived at the end of our driveway I could see a broken window. I rolled my eyes at this stupid act of rebellion and walked up towards the door to my house. I took out my keys and unlocked the door.
