She's Back!

Prologue

Cath.

I was staring outside the glass window of the restaurant I was in. I was starting to zone out while waiting for Ashley, my good friend, to finish talking to her boyfriend on the phone. We see each other every weekend dahil na rin busy ako, at busy din sya. It's our summer vacation here that's why we don't see each other as much as we used to.

Kanina pa rin kami magkasama ni Ashley. We even went shopping earlier. I bet her boyfriend will pick her up soon because he's a clingy asshole. He always wants Ashley in his sight. I wonder what he would do is she goes back to the Philippines.

"When will you go back to the Philippines then? I am already planning about going home, Cathlena. My sister has been bugging me to go home already." Ashley asked me when she came back to our table. She's the closest friend I have here in America. Well, she has also been bugging me about going back and teaching them who they messed up with.

"Ashley, I've been thinking about it. Maybe next month? I'm starting to get sick of being with dad and his business partners." I said and she smiled at me. Muka siyang nanalo dahil sa reaksyon niya sa sinabi ko. Kuya also wants me to go back now. He said that I need to be the Student Council President this year. He said na pwede ko naman daw tanggihan but when he said that Dean was going to be the president if I say no... I automatically agreed to go home. Alam na alam din kasi ni Kuya kung paano niya ako mapapapayag e.

"That's my girl! Finally, you've come to your senses. They don't know what is coming to them, especially that Elena! I haven't met her personally but I know how much of a bitch she is." Sabi nya. Bakas sa muka nya ang saya. Abot tenga pa nga ang kaniyang ngiti e. Ashley is not pure American. She's half pinoy. Pero dito na sya pinanganak ng mommy nya kaya hindi na rin nya natutunan na magsalita ng tagalog.

"You're so mad at her even though you don't know her." Sabi ko naman sa kaniya. She rolled her eyes at me.

"I know a bitch when I hear a story, Cathlena. Besides, she's a bitch because she took advantage of your story. She used you." She frankly said. I couldn't disagree with her dahil totoo naman ang sinabi niya.

She is really mean sometimes especially when she knows that we are being treated differently. That is why everyone is really scared of her, well, not me of course. Ashley is someone you don't want to mess with. Kaya nga when she found out what happened to me back in the Philippines, she wanted to go home just so she can mess with them. She said that it is not fair that they treated me that way just because I looked ugly.

"You really want me to go back, huh?" Tanong ko sa kaniya. I heard her giggled a little kaya napangiwi ako. This girl! Akala ko naman ay may hope pa na pigilan niya ako but she really wants me to go home! Kung sabagay, she has been bugging me to go home. I guess she's really planning on going home to the Philippines for good. Alam din siguro ni Geoffrey yun kaya sobrang clingy niya kay Ashley. Pag nagdesisyon pa naman ang isang yun, hindi mo na mababago ng isip niya.

She's a woman of her words.

"Yes, Cath. Because I want them to see what they lost and what they broke. They deserve to regret everything that they have done! We can't allow people like them enjoy their own lives while they ruined yours, right?" Sabi niya. Napangiwi naman ako sa sinabi niya. We started eating our food and she just told me stories about her past week. Ashley is a party girl, kaya madami siyang nakwekwento sa akin and she's fine with me just listening to her tales. Wala rin naman akong masyadong masasabi dahil lagi lang akong nasa bahay or sa business trips nila dad.

"Anyway, Cath, I need to go. Geoffrey is waiting for me outside. You better do good when you go back okay? I'll see you next week." She said. Napairap naman ako sa kaniya. Sabi ko na ng aba, kaya tumawag yung boyfriend niya e. Kahit kelan talaga. He always ruins my time with Ashley. Buti nga at napagtitiisan rin siya ni Ashley. If I were her, I would have left a long time ago.
