Chapter Fourteen: Knock, Knock, Johnny's Back!I rushed into the front counter and asked, "Is there a patient under the last name of Warner?"
The nurse behind the counter typed the username I had given her and scanned through the screen. "There is."
"Who?"
"Uh, Mr. Warner..." She drawled out, and I snapped at her.
"Yes, I know Warner, now tell me the first name!" I'm too worried and I couldn't help myself, I need to know who got into an accident. Mr, she told me. It would be either my dad or Quinn, no one else. I called Riley to check up on him and thankfully he's with his friends playing bowling.
The nurse seemed shock for a moment before she regained herself and cleared her throat curtly. "It says Quinn Warner, ma'am." She informed me, annoyance laced her voice and face.
Quinn Warner
I felt like my heart dropped lower than the pit of my stomach. "What room?"
"Room 246."
I didn't bothered saying thank you, I just ran to the elevator, but when I was nearing it, it closed. "No!" I banged on the metal door. I saw that there was a stair exit so I opened the door and ran up. Once I reached, the second floor, I went right when it read 230 pointing on the right. I ran and stopped to check every doors that might have the number 246 on them.
Once I spotted it, I stopped, took a deep breath preparing myself for the worst. I carefully twisted the knob, if ever Quinn is asleep I don't want to wake him up. I entered and closed the door behind me quitely. I heard some sounds which seemed to be coming out from the TV, I walked towards the sounds and found Quinn laying on the bed, eating some doritos while his right foot is in a cast.
My nerves relaxed a little bit as I saw that Quinn's injury wasn't that bad. I finally let out the breath I was holding. I closed my eyes and put a hand over my rapidly beating heart.
Thank the Lord.
"Sadie?" I stiffened at the mention of my name. My eyes shot open to see Quinn staring at me, amusement played in his eyes.
"Quinn." I sighed, in relief. "What the hell happened to you?" I asked, walking towards him, as I eyed his casted right leg.
"Uh, got into an accident?"
I glared at him, "This isn't funny Quinn. Do you know how much you got me worried? Getting a call from the hospital is the least I expected."
Quinn chuckled lightly, then he tried to sit up, I was instantly beside him to help him sit properly. "What happened to you?" I repeated.
"Uh," He rubbed the back of his neck, "I was a little distracted and I didn't see the old women crossing, so I skidded off to the side to avoid her. And I hit a post, then boom! Black out." He explained and I nodded as I took in the information.
