Chapter 11

Hey! I'm sorry that it's been a little bit since I've published a chapter, I just wasn't sure how to continue but I hope you like it!
Travis's POV
I'm going around camp for the fourth time when my stomach growls. I can't stop looking, I insist to myself she could be hurt. I pass the lake to take a breath. I see random bubbles floating to the top. It's probably naiads. I think, it couldn't be her, right? I can see figures in a cluster near the far side of the lake, under the bubbles and I assume they're having a meeting of some sort. I've checked everywhere but here I tell myself better safe than sorry I think and jump into the water

This is crazy, I yell at myself as I swim towards the huddle of naiads. I start to notice that all of them are moving but one. I swim faster, as fast as I can. "Oh my gods," I try to say when I see the one that isn't moving is Katie, and she's tied up! I almost choke on the water and I realize I'm running out of air, I start to go towards the surface when a smaller naiad spots me. Hades.

"Trav!" She exclaims, "OMG! Are you okay?" She asks, noticing that I'm struggling to hold my breath at this point

"He can't breathe underwater, you idiot!" Another chides her and a air bubble materializes around my head with a 'pop'

It feels really good to breathe again "Katie," I start towards her and a naiad blocks my path

"Still going on about Katie? What do you even see in her? I'm right here and I'm, like, totally available." She says winking at me

I cringe "that's nice but I really need to get Katie back to the surface" I try to move around her. I think Katie is passed out, she can't be underwater for too long, they must be barely keeping her alive. I feel a surge of anger. "What happened to her?" I push past the naiad and reach Katie

"She's just knocked out for a little while..." A naiad from the huddle giggles "It's no biggie. All you have to do is expose her to air." By the glares her friends give her I can tell she wasn't supposed to tell me that

I start to pull on the seaweed binding her and it comes off relatively easily "We can't let it be that easy!" Comes a giggle from behind me "you have to tell us a secret for us to let her go"
