"Oh look who's home, I forgot I actually had a sister." I teased.

Dahlia shook her head and came plopping down on the couch next to me, she looked beyond exhausted.

"Once I get out on my own and get stable enough and go back to school and graduate so that I don't have to work like a dog then you'll see me more."

"I'm proud of you Dahli, you're working so hard."

"I'm trying. It's so depressing, the situation I'm in. That's why I don't want you to be like me Aliye I want you to be better. I'm so proud that you enrolled in school and you're sticking to it."

"Ill keep sticking to it." I assured her.

"So how you feeling, about the Reggie situation first and foremost."

"I feel disgusting." I answered truthfully. "I feel disgusting and dirty. I can never wash away what he did and it bothers me so much."

"Do you feel like you feel any different now than you did when it first happened. It's not an overnight thing Aliye. It'll take you a minute to heal you know? But don't back track. As long as you're progressively growing and healing from it, you're doing great."

"Thank you, I understand."

She nodded rubbing my shoulder. "Where's Robyn? Haven't seen much of her."

I scoffed to myself. "Probably with Kendall."

She shook her head glancing over at me. "You two are both my little sisters and you're not about to do this. You both need to sit down and talk without throwing shots or being too aggressive."

"When she makes time for me, I'll be sure to have that conversation with her."

"Dear God, I'm too tired for it." Dahlia shook her head standing up and walking in the room.

I pulled out my phone and seen a text message from Bentley.

Bent ❤️: I ain't gon make our movie night 2night.

Why not? You okay?

Bent ❤️: I'm cool. Just not up for it. I'll make it up.

Uh okay.

He read the message and didn't respond. I was kind of bummed because I always looked forward to our movie nights.

I guess I would be spending tonight doing homework.

"Hey Aliye, can I talk to you?" Robyn questioned pulling me outside of the karaoke bar she was performing at tonight.

"What's up?"

"I'm sorry." She sighed. "I'm so sorry for abandoning you. With everything happening if no one else was there for you, I should've been."

I didn't respond just yet, I let her continue speaking.

"I could've done more as your bestfriend, your sister. Especially after what you went through."

"You spent a week with me and then you left went back to your regularly scheduled programming Robyn. I needed you. As my bestfriend, I needed you. What were you even doing? Stuck up under Kendall?! You just met him! I'm more important and-"

"I got signed to Roc Nation." She blurted and my eyes almost fell out of their sockets from how wide they got. "I've been working Aliye. It's not an excuse but I'm trying to make this work. For all of us."

My mouth fell opened and I pulled her into a tight hug. "Y-you, you got signed?! Why didn't you tell me?!"

"You don't speak of your happiness during other people's sadness Aliye. It's like an unwritten law."
