All night you could hear her cry, until she finally fell asleep. Knowing this, her parents went to bed. In the morning after this incident, Julie's mother went to wake her up, only to realize that Julie wasn't there. Her room looked exactly how it had been when they tucked her in the night before. The only difference was the smell. Leather and musky cologne filled the air, blanketing everything in the room with the stench. Crying, Julie's mother went running through the house searching for her, screaming her name only to be answered with silence. Julie's parents searched everywhere they thought she might be. They even asked Mathew if he knew where she was. Obviously he didn't know and this scared the little boy. Julie's father called the police and they told them that they had to wait 24 hours. This enraged Julie's mother! She didn't understand how they couldn't be out searching for her little girl. How they would have to sit for 24 hours not knowing where she was. She couldn't imagine what could have happened to her. Finally, Julie's father calmed her down a bit. They spent all day and through the night searching for her. In the morning, the police showed up and told them that they would look but that it was very unlikely that they would find anything. The search went on for ten years never finding anything. Little did they know that there was a small shed one the edge of the playground that her and Mathew played at, hidden by trees. This is where Julie was hidden. There was a soundproof attic that she was kept in. She would sit in there and pound and cry and beg to be let out only to be answered with the squeak of leather shoes. Julie only hoped to get out and be with her friends and family. However this never happened and Julie was never seen again.
