Millions of pictures flashes through my mind. Blood, corpses, cannons that fires and mutants.
I find myself screaming into my pillow early in the morning. Of course I do. Today is the day of my first reaping. I've probably had a nightmare, because when Katniss enters the room, she tells me I've been screaming, crying and kicking around me all night long. "You're gonna be okay! It's your first year, Prim, they're not gonna pick you!" she says, wiping tears from my face. "Come on, get dressed, breakfast is already done!" 'So it wasn't so early tho' I thought. Downstairs my mother and Katniss is sitting around the table, waiting for me. Katniss is so beautiful there she sits in her blue reaping dress. "I wish I looked like you" I join them by the table "No, I wished that I looked like you, little duck!" Katniss tickles my stomach. Then I hear the bell ring. The bell that calls us to the square. The bell that says 'Reaping'
