I recommend you read them because they're nothing like the movies and the last one came out last year :) at one point my love for this series was so intense I pre-ordered How To Steal A Dragon's Sword (book ten) so when I came out I was one of the first to read it.

If you haven't read the books, and have only seen the film I'm a little ashamed of you. UNLESS you didn't know about the books until now, then I pity you you poor child. In the books Hiccup doesn't ride Toothless, who has a stutter and can talk Dragonese.
