I know the truth.
Sometimes I am scared,
sometimes I am terrified.
It all feels like a dream
Like a bubble I am encased in.
With just a prick of the pin
You will realise
You will see the way I see myself
You will see all my imperfections
and then you will leave.
But there is a tug in my heart
A tiny ray of hope
that besides all those things
you will still love me
for the way I am.
I hope you'll understand
maybe we are not perfect as individuals
maybe we both have our own faults
but that's what makes us human
that's what makes us perfect for each other.
