"STOP HICCUP!"
The scream comes from behind me and I don't dare turn to see who it is. The larger man drops my hair so fast, I have no time to recover before I face plant into the ground. "Astrid? You know her?"
"Not exactly but her blood is Royal."
I look behind me, horrified. How the hell did she know?! I look at my finger just now realizing a wrap of cloth around my finger. "She's the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming."
Again, HOW DID THEY KNOW?!
Hiccup growls and kicks me in the eye, "so you lied. You're from the Enchanted Forest." My eye pounds and swells. Great, I have a black eye. He pauses and steps back. I get up, shakily and look up at him angrily. A girl stood in front of me protectively and I get up. I didn't need a anyone to protect me. "Yes, I'm the daughter of Snow White and Prince Charming. I am also the savior," I say holding my swollen eye in my hand. The girl as blonde hair and wears a skin bandana around her head. She was a belt decorated with spikes and a holster for two large axes.
Hiccup takes a deep breath, "sorry. I thought you were a Spy from the Killik Clan. Besides, I don't need more enemies. Come with me."
"Why the hell would I go with you, exactly?"
Hiccup stared at me hard, "because your in a new realm and you could use any allies you can make. Especially since your alone."
Fair point.
I take a deep breath and give in. "Fine," I say stubbornly and I glare at Hiccup as I pass him with Astrid guiding me. I didn't trust anyone here. I learned the hard way that you can't trust anyone in a foreign realm.
Ask Killian.
Ask my mom.
The thought of them makes me home sick. They probably thought I was dead. I was probably stuck here.
Not if I could help it. I remember traveling to the Enchanted Forest after being sucked in trying to save Regina.
Even from the start he punched at the walls I had up. Even as I left him up in the giant's lair, I thought he was actually telling him the truth.
That's why I had left him. I couldn't be wrong.
We pass the people, of whom stare at me as if I was gold. Especially some men. I catch the eye of a short man who was previously wrestling a bigger man with a headlock. I roll my eye and keep walking. Astrid giggles a bit. Everyone in this realm looked like Vikings and dragons were kept close as if a close companion. I really hated dragons.
Can't stand them.
"So, Hiccup is a piece of work isn't he?" I say breaking the silence that hung heavy like smoke between us. "Yeah but he wasn't always like that. It was war that did that to him. It was loss that aged him."
Hiccup didn't seem that old. Probably my age. Maybe a bit older. "What do you mean?"
"By loss he is an old man, but if you count his years he's middle aged." She explains, but I still don't understand what the hell she's saying. "But, I love him," Astrid sighs and looks at me. "Have you ever been in love?"
I nod, thinking of Graham, Neal, even stupid Walsh, and Killian. A claw squeezes my heart in thought of them all. Even Killian, who I knew was still alive. But, he was probably debated at the thought of my death.
Or he could be searching for any portal.
That sounds like him. He searches for what happens. Usually the smartest person in the room, but don't tell him I said that. We start to approach a castle-like building. I turn behind me and see Hiccup murmuring silently to himself.
I went into the castle with great hesitation.
