Maya sat in her room, alone. Crying as her legs dangled off of her bed, ignoring the knocks on the apartment door.
"Crybaby." She mumbled to herself. "Quit being such a crybaby, Maya." Her voice was raising. "Maya! Quit crying. Quit being such a sissy!" She pushed herself up and began to pace her room. "You're not supposed to be here. Your a mistake. Your a cause. You caused you mom to be miserable, you ruined both of your parents lives. You make Riley break rules, you get in the way, your a burden to the Matthews and you deserve everything that you get. So quit crying and accept that you are getting paid back for every fucking thing that you have done. Get out of the damn way." Tears broke to sobs. "Get out if the fucking damn way." She fell to the floor. She suddenly felt to arms wrap around her.
"Don't touch me! I've had enough!" She rolled over to see Riley looking afraid.
"It's... It's just you."
"Who did you think I was?"
"No one." She said, sighing in relief. She noticed Lucas, Farkle and Cory in the doorway.
"Oh. You saw that all." Cory walked over to the girl on the ground because everyone else was too afraid to.
"I think it's time that you go to the school phycologist." He said, bending down. She nodded, looking back up at Riley.
"Sorry, Riley. Just, memories."
"I understand." Maya stood up and hugged her. Riley hugged back.
"At least we know that your ankle is doing well."
"No more crutches."
"Good. But be careful." Riley picked her up.
"Wow, what are you doing?" She put her down on her bed so she was sitting how she originally was.
"I'm stronger then I look." Maya laughed. "And you probably haven't held anything down in forever."
"Tell me about it."
"You're not a crybaby. You're the strongest person I know."
"Thanks, Riles. Is it okay if I can be alone, again?"
"Ya."
"Thank you." Lucas gave her a tight hug and kissed her forehead as well as Farkle before they left, not thinking about the present tense when she was talking about deserving it.
