Part 5

Chapter 5

Garroth POV

It turns out I have quit a few classes with Aphmau which I'm happy about. I hope to get to know her. I think I like her, even though she's shy. I don't blame her, I notice people pick on her a lot but I won't let hat happen anymore. It was our last class before lunch and I ask Aphmau if she wanted to eat lunch with Me, Laurance, and Dante.

Aphmau POV

It was lunch time. I was walking out of line with my tray of food the school provides for me since I can't afford my own lunch. Garroth invited me to eat lunch with him and his two friends. I pause to scan the cafeteria for Garroth. I see find him and he looks at me and waves. I see one of his friends, Laurance I think says somethings to Garroth and he turns red. I start making my way over there. I felt butterflies in my stomach thinking of the way he smiled at me. Just friends, I remind myself. As I make my way across the cafeteria one of the girls who was making fun of me earlier stuck out her leg and tripped me. It was a childish thing to do but it sent me falling, my food flying everywhere, and the whole cafeteria laughing at me. I ran outside and leaned against the wall. It was hard to breath, I was having another panic attack. Everyone saw me. Garroth saw me. He was probably laughing at me too. I stay there leaning  against the wall trying to catch my breath when I felt to hands in my shoulders and someone kissed me. When I opened my eyes I see blonde hair and I knew it was Garroth. He was my first kiss. Garroth looked at me with sad eyes. "Please don't cry it makes me upset" he said gently wiping my face. Then I realized I really have been crying. I hug Garroth and he doesn't hesitate a second to hug me back. I stood there with my face buried in his shirt while I was in his arms. Where I felt safe.
