CHAPTER 5
Hey everyone:) okay so here's whats up… I kind of forgot what I made Justin and Mariana look like… and I cant find it anywhere!! so if i put something and its different, that why hahahaa also sorry i haven't uploaded, school is CRAZY!! alright, thats it. ENJOY!!
I smiled as I took out my paints and set up my work place. Painting was one of my absolute favorite things to do. I could take any colours and show the world my emotions, and that meant a lot to me, since I couldn't exactly tell people how I felt, not unless they knew sign language. I sat down at my stool and began to paint in vibrant colours, trying to express just how happy I was. Since last night I couldn't stop smiling, I mean, the boy I think I'm falling for kissed me!! Yes, it might have just been on the cheek, but still, it was from Justin. I sighed, splashing a bit of red onto the canvas, shaping the colours to form a heart. I sighed happily and put down my paints, walking down to the kitchen to get myself a glass of water. I nearly dropped the glass when I saw Justin standing in my living room, obviously waiting for me. He smiled and walked up, his beautiful blonde hair still wet from his morning shower. He gave me a big hug, picking me up in the process. I laughed and hit his back, trying to get him to put me down, and secretly wishing he wouldn't. He eventually set me on the floor, then grabbed my hand and started dragging me up to my room.
He took me straight to the closet, pulling out an outfit and throwing it at my face. Go, change, and hurry up. he said. I'm taking you out. I smiled and ran into my bathroom, changing and brushing my hair and teeth. I came out a few minutes later to Justin laying on my bed, looking better then ever. I oh so quietly snuck over, then pounced, landing on his chest. I laughed at his surprised expression, then abruptly stopped as i was suddenly flung over his shoulder. I giggled and pounded his back, but Justin kept on carrying me until he finally put me down in his car. He shut my door then ran over to his own, getting in and starting up the car. I looked at him excitedly, I loved going anywhere with Justin, I didn't care where we went.
But that didn't mean I didn't want to know.
JUSTIN! I signed in his face, probably not the smartest thing to do to the driver, but whatever. Can you pleeeeease tell me where we are going?? PLEEEASE! This was about the 100th time I've begged him to let me know where we were headed, just in the past 20 minutes. A small smile creeped across his lips and he shook his head, obviously amused by my annoyance. I 'hmf'ed and sat back in my seat, arms crossed over my chest. We sat for about 10 minutes before we FINALLY pulled off of the expressway. I smiled and sat up straight, my excitement bubbling once again. When we finally pulled into the parking lot, I squealed with joy.
Omygod you're taking me bowling? I freaking love you! I signed happily, jumping out of the car. Justin came up beside me laughing, wrapping his arm around my waist, sending shocks across my entire body. We walked into the bowling alley, and the lady at the counter smiled at us. We went up to her and Justin payed for both of us(what a gentleman :D), then helped me into my shoes. 'You two are such a cute couple.' the woman complimented us. I blushed deeply and looked down, then glanced at Justin. He smiled and surprised me with his response, saying thank you instead of denying it, not saying we were just friends like I thought he would.
I smiled up at him, then looked at the woman, who was tapping on my shoulder. She had a slightly annoyed but still sweet expression on her face. 'Hun, I asked you a question.' she said. I felt my eyes widen in panic, I always hated this part, when people would find out I was deaf and give me looks, either of disgust or pity. I turned to Justin, and his sweet face helped me calm myself down. 'I'm sorry ma'm, she's deaf. She didn't know you were speaking to her.' he said. The lady's face filled with shock, then guilt. 'Oh, I am so sorry! I didn't know…' I smiled easily, reassuring her that my feelings weren't hurt. After a few short words of parting, we went over to our lane and began to bowl.
A few hours later and I was beating Justin's sorry butt, 102 to 53. I had won the last two games, and Justin was getting annoyed. I laughed as I got yet another strike, assuring another win. Justin threw his hands up in the air. 'I QUIT!' he said, making me laugh even harder. He narrowed his eyes at me. oh, you think this is funny? I'm getting beat by a little girl! he signed angrily, but I could see the laughter in his eyes. I went over and pushed him down onto the bench, later sitting myself upon his lap. He wrapped his arms around my waist and I leaned my head on his shoulder, breathing in his amazing scent. I looked up into his eyes, smiling sweetly at him. He laughed and we sat there for a while, until my butt started going numb and i had to get up. We headed to the car after that game and Justin took me home, giving me a tight goodbye hug and a kiss on the head. I smiled and was going to leave when he signed, Mari, can I ask you a question? I laughed and, being the smart ass I am, replied, you just did. I laughed as he false glared at me, then became serious. What would you say, if I asked you on a date? he asked, looking nervous. I was shocked, but for some reason, his nervousness gave me confidence. I went up to him and pulled him close, then gave him a swift kiss on the cheek. I let him go and backed away, smirking at his stunned expression. I would say, it sure took you long enough. I signed, then headed into my house, not looking back.
I stretched out on my bed, my face in the pillows, cursing myself for being so stupid. What had gotten into me last night? I wasn't usually that bold, or bold at all for that matter. I sighed and hit my face with my pillow, now the ride to school was just going to be awkward. I HATE MONDAYS! They come along just to end wonderful weekends like this one, and make everything seem weird in the light of school hours.
Omygod.
School!
I jumped out of bed and threw on the first things that my hands touched, a jumper and a plain black tee. I quickly dragged a brush through my long hair, pulling it up with a twisty. I ran to the bathroom, brushing my teeth and checking my reflection. Good enough. I put on my combat boots and ran out the door to Justin's car, which was waiting in front of my house. I jumped in the passengers seat panting, and watched Jay laugh at me. I glared at him, tying up my boots. He smirked. Looks like someones running a bit late today. he signed. I simply stuck my tongue out at him, causing another fit of laughter. I rolled my eyes. Just drive. I signed, barley keeping the smile off of my face.
It seemed I was wrong. The car ride wasn't awkward at all, in fact, it was even better. I could feel myself getting excited for our date, as this would be my first. Justin and I talked about the date, and decided we would go to dinner and a movie. Not very original, but hey, you want to be traditional for a first date anyways right? This was going to be amazing, I already knew it. I mean, how many girls could say they were going on a date with their best friend. Not to mention, their best friend that they have officially fallen in love with.
I couldn't wait till Friday.
