It's been a month. Still no signs of her progressing to wake up. I basically live here now. I don't want to go home because the apartment reminds me to much of her. Carter hasn't left either. We sleep in Madison's room, I sleep on the extra hospital bed and carter sleeps on the pull out couch. Bailey comes by everyday with Hayes. Same with Abigail and Nash. Kaity went back to Alabama to finish the semester then she's coming back. Sam and Kian have been visiting. The rest of O2L comes once a week sometimes twice. Carter called his mom and she's flying out tonight to be here with Madison. Carter has also contacted his uncle Jason who is in the army, he's coming today. The doctors say she can hear us. "Hey babygirl, I miss you so much. Words can't describe the feeling that I feel when you're not here. And that's just it, isn't it? That's how we manage to survive the loss. Because love, it never dies, it never goes away, it never fades, so as long as you hold on to it, you'll never have to suffer. Baby it's okay to let go. I'll miss you like hell but it's okay. If it's to hard to fight, then stop." I let a tear slip. It was silent for a few minutes before Carter came in and told me he was going to pick up his uncle. "I love you, beautiful." I kissed her hand. I set my head on my edge of the mattress and sat there for 3 seconds before I felt something I never thought I'd feel again. I felt her hand slightly squeeze mine. I pressed the nurse button and two nurses came in. "Her hand, it moved." I said, totally shocked. "That's amazing. At this rate it means her heart is getting stronger. She's should wake up within 3 months." The nurse smiled. Once they left there was knock at the door. I look and saw a middle aged woman. "Who are you?" I asked. "I'm Nancy Callaway. I was Madison's nurse back at the asylum." She smiled. "Oh I'm Cameron, her boyfriend. Come in and sit down." I smiled in return. "Do you know what happened?" She asked. "She was supposed to be college hunting in Alabama. Her friend she has down there took her to a party and on the way back they were struck by a drunk driver on Madison's side. The car tumbled in a ditch and when they tried to wake her up, she would open her eyes so they put her on a helicopter flew her back to LA." I explained. She closed her eyes and shook her head. "She doesn't deserve any of this. She was the sweetest person ever, my all time favorite patient. It's all over the new back home. She's quite famous." She smiled grabbing Madison's other hand. "The doctors say when she wakes up she won't remember anything after she got to LA. She'll remember you, Carter, her mom, possibly Matt because he was with Carter when he picked her up, but she won't remember me or her friends that she met out here. And I'm afraid that when she gets back from college she won't have any memory of me. What am I gonna do then, I- I can't lose her, not again." I said, letting tears stream down my face. "She'll pull through, don't worry. And what to you mean again, what happened?" She asked. "Well before we got back together, Madison thought she was pregnant so she went to the doctor and found out that she wasn't. While she was out, this psycho fan forced me to kiss her or she'd tweet out that Madison was pregnant, I kissed that girl to protect Madison not to hurt her. The told me not to tell Madison what really happen so I had to make it look like I actually cheated when I didn't. After 3 weeks of being miserable, she finally forgave me and I made a promise to her that I'd never hurt her and that I'd protect her forever. I gave her a promise ring. And that will be replaced with an engagement ring and a wedding band will join it soon after." I let a few more tears slip. "All you have to do is have faith and believe that she'll wake up. I'll see you later darling, have Carter call me if anything happens." She patted my back a left. I felt her squeeze my hand again and when she did that the beeping on the monitor got faster but not in a bad way. "I love you, babygirl. Forever and Always." I kissed the top of her hand a stepped outside of the room. I went down to the lobby and saw Bailey and Abigail. "Hey guys. Where's Nash and Hayes?" I asked. "They went to North Carolina for the week to see their parents." Abigail said. "How is she?" Bailey asked. "Her heart rate is getting faster and stronger, she should be awake within 3 months." I smiled. Abigail smiled and went to her room. Bailey stayed back. "So I was talking to my mom yesterday, she was asking about her and I said she wasn't so good. My mom works with trauma patients who are in the same situation as Madison, she said normally, if she isn't awake by the 3 month time period, they have to take her off the respirator and if she can breathe on her own then she'll wake up soon. But if she can't breathe on her own she won't last long maybe 4-5 minutes. After three months they'll pull the plug, it's up to Madison if she wants to live or die. No one can help her after that." She explained. "So basically it's if she lives horray and if she dies oh well try again with the next patient." I said sounding irritated. Bailey nodded her head. I ran my fingers through my hair and walked back to the room with Bailey following behind me. I sat down on my bed and texted my mom.

I sat my phone on the table and put my head in my hands. I heard the door open so just assumed it was carter but I heard a deeper voice. I looked up to see a man. "I'm looking for Cameron Dallas, Carter said ask for him?" He asked. I stood up and walked towards him. "I'm Cameron and you must be Jason Reynolds." I shook his hand and lead him outside the room. "How is she?" He asked. "She's getting stronger. They say she should wake up within 2 months." I said. "That's great. Where's Carter?" He asked. "He went to go get their mom from the airport." I said. "Carter never told you?" I looked at him confused. "Carter and Madison have the same dad but not the same mom. Madison has met her mom but not her dad. Carter's mom is dead, she died in a car accident a long time ago. My brother, their dad, has been M.I.A. for 6-7 years now." He explained. "Does Madison know?" I asked. "No, she thinks Carter and her have the same parents." He said. This is all a lot to take in. Well I guess that explains why Madison looks nothing like Carter. Why wouldn't they tell her though?
