Chap. 26

Maine's POV
I was so depressed. The murderer looked for holes in the bathroom. He saw the hole where we always peek for informations. The murderer did'nt mind because he thought he would not see anyone in the bathroom. After, Alden went to the upper window to check some cases. I saw a familliar person walking with some luggages and bags all over. Valeen peeked. "Is that Jocelyn? Our school gangster prankster?" Valeen said suspiciously. Alden went down at the chair and looked at the hole. Valeen's right, it's Jocelyn. She shoots the murderer and warned the two. I was biting my nails because I hear creepy sounds when I realized It's the earthquake. I pulled Alden and hugged him. Valeen sat beside me and ducked. Nothing happened but shaking. It felt awkward because I can feel Alden's lips on my lips because of my fear. Wait!
Flashback
"Mama! It's earthquake." I warned Mama and hold her hand. She released it and ran away. A big dangerous wall fall in my mama and she died.
Reality
That's why I had a stepmother. I remembered me and mom's memories. I cried that time and Alden was wiping it away using his thumbs. He hugged me tight until the earthquake stopped. I peeked at the hole and saw them all collapse. I did'nt wanna talk because all in my mind is my mom, period. Alden waved at my face. I woked up from sadness. I stood up and walked away quietly but fast. The nurses, doctors, everyone collapsed except for me. Three of us ran and saw the guards with us running too. From my sadness, I-
Alden's POV
Maine collapsed. I wD worried and I just carried Maine through the car and I let Valeen sit beside me. "My house, your house or Maine's house?" I asked. She pointed Maine and I nodded.
2-4 hours
I finally arrived to Maine's house. Her house was faraway so we went through some traffic, mountains, etc. I was sleepy but who cares? I knocked at the door, and her Ate Mirna, her yaya opened for us. "Ayy! Anong nangyari kay Maine!" Ate Mirna asked. "She collapsed. She was getting weirder and weirder during and after the earthquake." Valeen answered her. Ate Mirna lit her eyes. "Come to here." Ate Mirna said ungramatically. (Is that a word? LOL!) "I will try to speak Ingles. When she thinks about earthquake or when it happens, she becomes sad causes collapse and being weird." Ate Mirna said, tearing. "She thinks about her mother that died because a dangerous and big wall strucked her mom. Now, if you will remind her earthquakes, we don't know what will happen to her next." Ate Mirna said as she wipes her tears. Valeen and I looked at Maine. Wait! Nick, how about Nick! OMG! I hurried to my car. "Teka, why?" Valeen asked. "Pano si Maine?" She said. Ate Mirna rolled her eyes. "Sino yan? Nick, barkada?" Ate Mirna said suspiciously. "Di po, anak namin ni Maine." I said, scratching my head. I carried Maine and went to the hospital.
2-4 hours
I arrived at the hospital at 3:30pm. I left Maine on the car and looked for Baby Nick. I saw babies on the floor with blood. I can't even identify who is Baby Nick. I saw a baby that looks very familliar to me. He was lying on the crib, no accidents. "Valeen! Look at that." I told Valeen and pointed on the baby's crib. I went closer and saw Nick's full name. I was happy and brought his things and himself home. When I got back, I saw Maine wake up exactly as we go in. She was crying. "Just wait, I will make a cue to show her Baby Nick." I whispered to Valeen. I comforted her. "I have a surprise." I said. I did the cue and Valeen showed Baby Nick, sleep. She had tears of joy. She hugged me. "Mars, this is your child. You should carry it your own." Valeen told Maine. She handed Maine the baby. Nick woke up caused by Maine's tears. I drived home and Maine and I pictured, She handed Nick to Valeen and did'nt show themselves. (The picture is above.) After the pic, Louise pretended to be a girl selling candies. It was obvious that it was Louise so we did'nt mind her quote, "Bili po kayo, kuya."
Maine's POV
"Hay, buhay! Alis!" Alden shouted at the girl....who looked familliar to me. I just kept on watching IISuperwomanII's videos. I heard Nick's voice, crying. I stopped and got Nick. Everytime I carry him, he stops. Alden was just focusing on that girl and we almost bumped to a big truck. I still remember about Mama. I pretended to be Mama and sang the lullaby Mama sings everytime I will sleep. "I love you, and you love me. That's all I like about you." I sang the last part emotionally. "Oh, why? Any probs?" Alden said, as he stop the car in one corner and rub my back. "My mom. I remembered her." I said as he wipes my tears. Alden bit his lips and just comfort me. Why? Wha' happened? He pretended that nothing happened and just drived me to a house. "What's this?" I asked confusedly. "I asked your dad if you can live in this mansion. He said yes, we'll live here forever." Alden said as he smiles. I hugged Alden and kissed his lips for 1.9 seconds. He lits his eyes. "Ah...Maine, Alden. I need to go back at my house. BTW, we are neighbors." Valeen interrupted. We nodded. She waved goodbye. I got my things from my home that I did'nt even know. Alden also did get his bag. We saw furnitures all over. It was full except the closet. We filled 'em up. "Hey, where will I sleep?" I asked. He pointed thr masterbed and I lit my eyes. "Really?" I smiled. He nodded. We jumped together and we played some board games Alden has prepared for us. I delivered pizza because we did'nt eat lunch and dinner.
When Pizza arrived
"Pizza Hut po ito!" The delivery man said. I hurried down and got our pizza. I ready my 1000 pesos. "Mam, no need." He said. I stared at him. "Fan po ako ng MaiDen. Ako na bahala kay Boss." He said. I laughed. I just hid my 1000 at his bag. He was going out the door when he saw the 1000 fall. Oops! 😲😲😲😲😲
"Ugh...fine!" He said. He was actually pretty rude.
Back to the room
Alden was waiting for me and saw him watching his fave series. Is that Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince? He got some of the pizza boxes that I ordered. Mostly, the pepperoni. I got the Hawaiian Overload the most. We ate pepperoni first then the Hawaiian. I did'nt even seem to be in danger because I did'nt know if I was allowed to eat pizza. Then I heard Baby Nick cry on the crib next 2 meters on our bed. I quickly walked un carried him. "Iyak sha ng iyak." I said smiling to Alden. I comforted him and he slept again. That did tell me that it's all equal. Haaa!! End of the day!
