Chapter 1: Mondays, Am I Right?

Chapter 1

    So far it's still our 3rd period and we have 6 today. Ugh, Mondays. You can call me smart but not as smart as the geeks. Some of them talk to me, some are too shy because I usually hang out with people not their kind, i-if you get it. My friends sometimes tease me because I get good grades, but I think they're just jealous. Even my best friend Lisa. She is always by my side but there are times that she just goes with my other friends, teasing.

    Oh gosh, the next period is Chemistry. I wouldn't want to miss this period but a part of me says to miss it. All because of my stinking group. There are 4 very weird nerds, me and, Lisa. Glad Lisa was picked to be with me.

    We went through some testing of substances which I think that our group did a pretty better job than the rest.

    When we were cleaning up, my enemy Leanne came up to me and pushed me down on the floor. I think I got a bruise. Lisa wasn't there but a group mate of mine named Marcel helped me up.

    "Are you ok?" he asked.

    "Yeh, I'm fine, just a pretty darn bruise." I replied

    "I might as well take you to the nurse."

    "Sure. Thanks."

    We got a clinic slip from Mr. Ken and went outside the laboratory.

    I placed my arm around Marcel's neck because I can't balance with the bruise on my right leg. He put his arm on my waist to help me walk.

    "It really hurts huh?" he said.

    "Yup. I think it hit the tip corner of the tile on my shin."

    "Oh that really must hurt."

    We stopped our conversation weirdly. I saw him blushing a bit. I don't know why but, he has his own feelings, so, I just went on walking.

    We reached the clinic and the nurse put some medicine and bandages on.

    "Is she fine?" Marcel asked the nurse.

    "Well it's just a teeny tiny bruise. She'll be fine. And I bet she can walk already." she replied.

    "Thanks ma'am."

    Once I got all my bandages and such, (I had 2 bruises, 1 I didn't notice on my elbow) we got back to the lab safe and sound.

    "Thanks Marcel."

    "You're welcome Aria." he said while blushing- again.

    We saw everyone sitting down on their lab seats and listening to Mr. Ken, but others, doodling or chewing a piece of gum. I went back to my seat. next to Lisa. I saw Lisa's face, she was really confused on what happened and why Marcel was with me.

    "Woah there Aria, what had happened between you guys?" she asked.

    "Uhh, he just brought me to the nurse, I tripped because of Leanne. Ugh! I really hate her." I explained.

    "Oh ya, I don't like her that much too but, we get along, she's just feeling so sassy and popular and all." she said.

    "You talk to her? No way, how, why?" I was very surprised of her answer.

    "Well, I was trying out for the cheer squad and she approached me saying that I was really good. That's why I got in the squad and I started to get along with her." she explained.

    "Oh wow, great. That's nice." I said with sarcasm.

    We ended our 4th period and headed out to Social Studies class.
