Chapter 4

What a boring Saturday. Saturday mornings are usually fun... but Charlotte. I miss her so much. I remember when she'd used to go to my room and wake me up when we were younger. She's more of a morning person than me.

So what will I do today? Maybe I can just head to the park where I can relax or find my other "park friends" (I do have friends at the park but they're not that close to me though). They're just there if I'm like real bored or something).

I decided to get dressed in my white laced blouse with a short blue vest, my jeans and a pair of Converse. I went down to make some breakfast, maybe pancakes and scrambled eggs? When I checked the fridge, I had no eggs. I should really go to the grocery sometime but my parents would usually do that for me and deliver it to my flat. Well, I'm grown up so I might just give it a go next Saturday? Sure, fine with that.

After some pancakes and maple syrup, I got my umbrella in case of rain and I headed outside. I checked my mail box beside my door and there was something in it. Oh, it's just another letter from my parents and my allowance for the whole month. They usually send that at the beginning of each month like right now it's the end of November, tomorrow's December 1. Which reminds me, it's almost Christmas! So excited!

I read the mail and put it back in the envelope with the money. I went back in my flat to my room and kept it in my drawer near my bed. Then I went out again and headed for the park.

I checked my watch, it was just 3:38 PM and my friends are already leaving (oh and they're all related; Christi, Kolan, Penelope, Ashley, Dylan and Kobe). Maybe some family outing? I guess. I asked them why they were leaving early and I was exactly right, they are going to have a family outing in the bowling center near Twentieth Villa Village, where my parents live.

I waved them goodbye and started to head back home, until I hit someone. We both fell down and I saw it was a guy. I looked down so that I wont get his attention like those love stories when a girl hits a guy accidentally and they "fall in mutual weirdness called love" (quoted from Dr. Seuss).

"Uhm, I'm so sorry, I uh-"

"No, I'm so sorry, l-let me help you up."  he said. His familiar voice got me thinking, could it possibly be Ma- wait no, it can't be. I looked up and saw a handsome figure standing in front of me. His curly-wavy hair and cheeky grin, he was wearing a white polo and jeans like me and a green beanie on his hair. He looks so cute. Wait no- I can't be falling for him. We only met well, at this very moment! I'm such a weirdo.

Then he looked at me weirdly saying, "Uh... Aria? Is that you?"

What? How'd he know my name? This is getting freakier. "How do you know me?"

    "Well... I'm Marcel."

Wait, wait, wait. No, no, NO! Th-th-that's Marcel?! I've been falling for MARCEL STYLES?!?! Breathe Aria, breathe. Even though he looks like an Abercrombie model, there is no way that I will totally fall for his looks. Okay, it seems like I did. *meantally facepalms self* My eyes widened and I gave him a shocking look.

"Uhmmm, Aria? Anything wrong? Oh wait, my looks... You'd usually see me as the geek and well, still am but, uhhhh, I'm not at school. I was going to change my look but I don't want all the popularity. Now you know how I look like outside of school aside from my sister." he said sighing.

"No Marcel, it's fine. Y-y-you actually look cute. But if you do f-f-feel uncomfortable with the look, m-m-might as well stick with your old o-o-one." I replied with my voice cracking. Urg, my voice is cracking, and wait, I'm feeling something, I touched my cheeks and th-th-they were hot. No way, I was blushing.
