Chapter 2

I feel so sleepy. Ugh, then I realized I have class. I checked the clock and it was 6:40 AM. Oh it's too early, better sleep a bit.

I woke up again. Took a look at the clock and it was 7:15 AM. Fuuudge! I'm gonna be late! Better be quick, better be quick!

I showered then brushed my teeth. I put my clothes on then I groomed a bit. Sling bag? Check. Cleaned up? Check. Phone? Check. I went downstairs at exactly 7:30 AM.

I grabbed an apple and a carton of milk and I went outside quickly to catch the bus (BTW, I live in my flat, alone). Phew, the bus was just on time. I went inside and found an extra seat beside, oh no, him again. I tried not to notice him beside me so, I just ate my apple and drank my milk.

"Hey Aria. Quite in a hurry huh?" Marcel asked.

"Well ya, you can put it that way." I smiled.

Shoot. I noticed him. It was so hard not to.

We arrived at school at the back where buses park. I hopped off then I heard someone yelling. A familiar girly voice. Oh look, it's my favorite gal, Charry.

    "Hey Char-Char!"

    " 'Sup Aria!"

"So, about what you told me last night, the hang-out with.... ya. Well, I thought about it and, I might wanna give it a go."

"Oh good for you. At least there will be another friend by your side. Now come on, let's spend our last few days together!"

We put our arms around each other's neck like girly girlies would do (ew, no) and we both walked to French class together.

I just remembered, we have the dialogue thing today. Our teacher gave us 20 minutes of practice. So I went to his desk and grabbed a chair from my left side and brought it near. I placed my paper and I said the first line. I knew his line that was coming up was really long. So while waiting for him to say the line, I checked on how Charlotte and Austin were doing. Charlotte's face was very red if you could see her very rosy cheeks as she speaks her line. I was caught on the moment when she put her hand on top of Austin's but then, Marcel tapped me and said it was my turn.

    "Oh sorry." I apologized.

"It's fine, you may go ahead." he said with a very cheeky grin.

My line was very funny indeed. I had to at least giggle when I said it. But Marcel's face, ugh, his face was always serious. It was a bad mistake to laugh when I said this line every time when we were under the tree, practicing. I tried to be serious this time but I just can't help it. I giggled. Oh, and what is that I see? Oh my gosh, he chuckled a bit.

"And for a minute there, I thought you weren't supposed to giggle." I said to him.

"Well, I held the laughter inside but now, really, I just seriously couldn't help it."

We went on and on with dialogue until our time was up. We repeated the practice for like, 2 times. Thank God. We practiced until time was up. I put the chair aside and I went back to my desk. I feel so happy that we're 10th to present, I mean like, I've always been 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. I get to sit back and relax a bit. I was even able to practice before our turn. Ahhh, the benefits of being 10th.

Time has passed or let me say, presenters. It was our turn to share what we've crea- I mean, what he created.

The class loved our dialogue, our teacher did too. But me? Well, the whole part of it being funny? Yes. But how 'bout presenting? No. He. Was. Blushing. I could tell that Charlotte was laughing but deep inside, deep within, she's probably wondering why Marcel was blushing. I mean seriously, annoyed much? Yes, I really was.
