Heaven's Pov~
I woke up this morning feeling empty and irrelevant, that blow last night seemed to take a tole on my mind-set. I thought i could survive without my dad in this house until i was 18,with the assurance of my mother's love, but now i don't know anymore. Last night's encounter had shown me that my mother no longer cared about my well being, she couldn't have, to just stand there and allow him to hit me. I grabbed my backpack and headed hastily downstairs, only to run into two people i really had no interest in seeing. Mike stood their staring at me as though he was undressing me with his eyes, my mother gave me a blank expression, emotionless as usual. I just walked out the house without a word to either of them.
I decided that taking the bus wouldn't be the best idea seeing i'm still healing from the 'tumble' i took the last bus ride. If you wondering why i dressed so casual, it's because what's the point of dressing up when there's no one to dress up for, besides Jacob would only interrogate me on my appearence which would render my self-esteem causing me to bo more broken than needed. Trust me i've tried to 'dress to impress',it's never worked out in my favor. I decided to walk to school, even thought it'll cause me to misses the bus ride with my bestfriend it also means i miss the bus ride with Jacob and i would miss a buss ride with Chris brown for that kinda 'get-out-of-jail-free-card'.
As i reached the school door, i blew a sigh of relief that i didn't have to deal with Jacob or so i thought. My thoughts were interupted by the sound of my name,"Heaven!", a familiar called excitedly. I turned on the heel of my sneakers to see my bestfriend, i grew a slight smile at the sight which soon faded when i saw who was with her. Low and behold there stood Jacob and his crew along with his hoe, all of which gave a grimaced look exept for chresanto, craig and rayan which i found surprising. "I missed you on the bus this morning Heav, where were you?",chassidy asked and jacob seemed intrigued to know also by the way he inched in on the conversation. "I decided to walk, i thought i could use the fresh air.", i replied. "And the exercise" i heard Jasmine whisper causing Jacob to snicker, well that hurt. "Shut up Jasmine", I heard someone from the group say and mor suprisingly a male. I looked upto see Jasmine glaring a Rayan while Jacob said nothing. I was to shocked and obviously everyone else was because it went quiet until Jasmine spoke again "Rayan why are you taking up for this loser and Jacob are you gonna let him talk to me like that?", she shouted, enraged.Jacob carelessly shrugged while Rayan replied "Fuck off Jasmine", she stood there infuriated yet defeated and i giggled at the fact that her own boyfriend stood there like nothing was happening, she must have heard me because she sent a nasty glare my way but i shook it off before i began "Anyways i have to get to class", i announced as i walked off, waving bye to chassidy because we had different classes. As i was walking i heard a voice called after me and i turned to see Rayan trying to catch up with me. He stopped beside me and it became extremely awkward because i never spoke to rayan, besides any Jacob deluded altercation, he and i never really came into contact. I was cut from my thoughs when he spoke" Can i walk you too class?" he queried which took me by shocked but i agreed anyway. We didn't even speak, but having him beside me made me feel good, I even returned his book from yesterday when it was cruely dumped on me. He was shocked to see i had it and was about to question me until, i guess, he remembered yesterday. He awkwardly scratched the back of hi neck as though he was embarressed before speaking once more" I'm sorry about yesterday. i really am." I was beyond shocked, not that he apoligized, but because he sounded so sincere."It's okay, i'm actually used to it.", I said looking down.
He seemed taken back on my choice of words for a moment then he replied"You shouldn't have to be used to it Heaven, what Jacob does is uncalled for, and for what it's worth i think your beautiful." , he stated sincerely and made me blush at the last part, but it was what he did next that had me at a stand still. He pushed me against the locker and kissed me and i kissed back while soothing his face.He quickly pulled away at the sound of the first bell, where he smiled at me and as musch as i wanted to smile back i couldn't and i quickly slipped out of his embrace and hurried to class. I took my seat and watched as Rayan walked in looking as though someone had died, he walked in sluggishly and took his seat beside me which i didn't even notice he sat but like i said i barely paid him any mind. I wanted to smile back honestly when he kissed me but when i looked at him all i saw was the same old Rayan who would hover over me as Jacob beat me, the same one who did nothing and i hate to admit it but i'm catching feelings for Rayan.My thoughts were interupted by the second bell which startled me causing me to look up to find Rayan staring at me adoringly, weird. I looked to the door to find Jacob entering and staring at me until he approached me. I looked at him, questioning in my mind why he stood before me, then i remembered I had his book. I quickly retrieved it from my bag and gave it to him, he looked at me in a grateful way which i found weird, he then went to his seat.
Our Health teacher Mrs. Mcdondald walked in and sat at her desk. i guess to get settled, she then stood and started taking roll call. After that she addressed us"OK student's i would just like to say welcome back from your break hopefully it was enjoyed by most of you and deserved by others, now i've decided to start this term with a project. Now i'm going to partner you off, this project consist of couples one baby per couple and you are to take care of this baby as though it's yours also these babys are quite like real ones so you must be extra attentive to it and both partners must do an equal share of taking care of the baby". I was a unhappy with the project because i barely knew anyone and having to be there partner for a month would be awkward."Ashley and Brandon, Jonathan and Alicia, Rayan and Jewel, Jacob and Heaven........" I sat up in my seat and nearly hurled on the last part. I didn't pay any attention to whom ever she paired off after that, it's like i completely zoned out, only coming too when she said that we couldn't switch partners or that she knows what she is doing, when there were complaints.She passed out the babies and ofcoare i had to take it. The baby was a girl and she looked so real not to mention she was beautiful."I'l give the rest of the period to get aquainted with your partner, and remember Equal work.", She spoke before sitting down and doing whatever. I soon felt a presence beside me and turned to see Jacob with a smirk."Well i guess we have a whole month together.",he grinned ." So come by my house this afternoon so we could get started on this shit,so meet me by my car and by the way the babies name is Isabella.", I nodded in shock and fear, and thought lucky me huh?
